Học bổng Endeavour Awards 2010 opens from 6/4 to 31/7!

Học bổng Endeavour 2010 sẽ bắt đầu open từ ngày 6/4 này. Hiện giờ trên website chính thức http://www.endeavour.deewr.gov.au/ đã có những thông tin update mới nhất về các loại học bổng Endeavour. Mình post ở đây một số thông tin chính của Endeavour Postgraduate Award - học bổng học thạc sĩ, tiến sĩ nhé!

Endeavour Postgraduate Awards
8.1.1 Award Description
The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide full financial support for international students for up to 3 years* to
undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field of
study in Australia.

The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards aim to:
? enable high achieving international students to undertake a postgraduate qualification either by
coursework or research in their chosen field of study in Australia
? strengthen bilateral ties between Australia and the participating countries
? showcase Australia?Ts education sector
? strengthen mutual understanding between the people of Australia and Award Holders'' home countries
? build international linkages and networks.

2 Award Benefits
Travel Allowance $AUD4,500
Establishment Allowance $AUD4,000
Monthly Stipend (up to 3 years on a pro-rata basis) $AUD2,500 per month
Tuition Fees per semester (for up to 3 years)** Up to $AUD12,500 per semester/trimester

Total Award Value Up to $AUD173,500

*Funding is available for up to 2 years for a Masters degree and up to 3 years for PhD.
** Tuition fees will be paid up to a maximum of $AUD40,000 for Masters degrees and a maximum of
$AUD75,000 for PhDs.

Health and travel insurance will be provided.

Ad***ional funds are not available *****pport accompanying dependants or for return visits to the home country.

3 Eligibility Requirements for Endeavour Postgraduate Awards :To apply for the 2010 Endeavour Postgraduate Awards, international applicants must first satisfy the eligibility
requirements detailed below. Applicants are required *****bmit a completed online application along with the
required supporting documentation.

1. International applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of a participating country and reside in a
participating country (see Section 9 below).

2. International Applicants who wish to apply for the 2010 round must not be living, studying or working in
Australia in 2009.

3. Applicants holding dual citizenship or permanent residency status in their proposed host country are ineligible
to apply.

4. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree at the time of application that demonstrates high
academic achievemẹnt.

5. Endeavour Postgraduate Award applicants must have applied for and gained admission to a Masters or PhD
course in Australia. Con***ional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application

6. Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency

a. Test Requirements
-IELTS-Academic Test Overall score of 6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0
-TOEFL-Paper Based Test (PBT) Score of 580 including a TWE (Test of Written English) score of 4.5
-TOEFL- Computer Based Test (CBT) Score of 230 including an Essay Rating score of 4.5
-TOEFL-Internet Based Test (IBT) Overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 22 in the writing section and no less than 20 in the other sections

b. Provide Academic Transcripts or Certificates they have if completed at least one year of university
study conducted in English in the last five years in one of the following listed countries:
American Samoa, Australia, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea,
Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), United States
of America or Zambia.

7. Three referee reports must be submitted on the form provided on the Endeavour Online system. One referee
report must be from a supervisor, lecturer or course convenor who is familiar with the applicant?Ts recent
academic performance (see Section 11 below).

8. All Endeavour Postgraduate Award Holders must commence their approved program and Award between 15
January and 30 November 2010. Applicants who have commenced or intend to commence their program at
their host organisation in 2009 are ineligible to apply.

9. Applicants who have completed an Endeavour Award and/or an AusAID scholarship in the preceding two
years prior to the commencement of their proposed Award are not eligible to apply. For example, if you
completed your Endeavour Award in 2008, you will not be eligible to apply until 2010 for the 2011 Endeavour
Awards.

Theo mình biết thì apply vào các trường ngoài Group of eight sẽ giúp bạn có admission rất sớm (khoảng 1-6tuần từ sau khi nhận được paper application của bạn) Nếu gấp quá mà bạn muốn tham gia học bổng này thì có thể áp dụng cách đó.
Còn với Go8 thì thời gian có thể lâu hơn, tùy thuộc vào số lượng sinh viên nộp đơn vào trường (thường là rất đông), số chỗ còn trống, chất lượng hồ sơ của bạn, etc. Nếu muốn vào các trường này bạn nên nộp hồ sơ online trước, chuẩn bị paper application thật đầy đủ (khỏi mất công gửi đi gửi lại nhiều lần), sau đó gửi bằng đường phát chuyển nhanh. Khi họ thông báo nhận được hồ sơ của bạn thì nhắn một cái mail là bạn muốn tham gia Endeavour nên mong nhận được câu trả lời cua họ sớm. Trong thời gian chờ đợi kết quả hồ sơ thì bạn cứ tiếp tục làm Online Endeavour application thôi. Hi vọng là bạn sẽ nộp kịp deadline

Em chào các anh chị,
Em cũng đang nghiên cứu mấy cái HB của Úc này rồi, nhưng không biết độ cạnh tranh của các HB này đến đâu nên muốn xin các bậc cao nhân chỉ giáo. Profile của em ko được hoành tráng lắm: GPA 7.8 (tiếc là hồi xưa đã không chăm chỉ hơn, à, em tốt nghiệp Ngoại Thương ạ), IELTS 7.0. Em sợ là với profile như vậy thì em ko đủ điều kiện apply HB này , vì nghe nói HB này còn khó hơn cả ADS. Em cũng chẳng có thành tích gì đặc biệt, ngoài cái giải Quốc gia từ hồi cấp ba (hix, giải khuyến khích ạ).
Anh chị nào đi trước cho em xin chỉ giáo xem em có nên nuôi hi vọng apply học bổng này không ạ?

Mọi người ơi, cho mình hỏi một chút đã có ai trong forum của bọn mình đã được học bổng Endeavour 2008 chưa thì cho applicants năm nay chút kinh nghiệm với (ví dụ điểm cần focus trong các bài luận, Endeavour nhấn mạnh yếu tố gì?) Thanks all nhé!

Tổng cộng là 69 pages cho cả 2 trang nên bạn có thể biết thêm rất nhiều thông tin và tâm trạng của mọi người qua từng thời điểm! Về mức độ cạnh tranh thì mỗi năm một cao hơn, bằng chứng là số page của link Endeavour 08 là 10 còn link Endeavour 09 đã lên đến 59, các chương trình promote trong học bổng này cũng khá tốt. "On the 31 July 2008 at 11:59pm AEST, applications for 2009 Endeavour Awards closed. It has been quite a journey for the Endeavour Awards management team, with application numbers higher than ever before.
The team has worked extremely hard over the past months, answering enquiries about the application process and managing the submission of applications. For the 2009 round, a new, fully online application system was launched, which has simplified the application process.

Endeavour là dành cho các applicants có academic/professional potential or achivements nên mình nghĩ bạn focus vào các điểm đó là chủ yếu. Nếu mới ra trường hoặc có background về academic mạnh thì focus vào mặt này, còn có thành tích khi đi làm thì ngược lại. Mình nghĩ thế thôi chứ không biết các anh chị đạt học bổng này những năm trước focus vào mặt nào (mỗi người một strategy mà).
Bạn carol26 ơi, GPA và IELTS của bạn cũng ok rồi, mình nghĩ bạn nên dồn sức để làm essays và xin LORs tốt. Cố gắng tìm xem ngoài cái giải hồi cấp 3 ra thì thời gian học đại học bạn có thành tích nào đáng kể không (trong lớp hoặc các hoạt động bên ngoài như tham gia hội thảo, các clb, cuộc thi, đoàn đội...) hay đứng thứ hạng xyz ở trong trường để support thêm. Bài luận văn/ báo cáo tốt nghiệp điểm cao hay trùng với ngành bạn muốn học cũng là lợi thế rất lớn đấy.
