Love story
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.
Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I can''''t. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can''''t help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat." Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with you." "Oh....Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
Happiness passed by Love too, but he was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the elder his name. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went his own way.
Love realizing how much he owed the elder and asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because, only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."

Câu chuyện tình củ
Xưa xửa xừa xưa, có một cái đảo là nơi ở của các bác cảm giác: bác Vui, bác Buồn, bác Tri thức và một lố các bác còn lại, bao gồm cả bác Tình Yêu.
Có một ngày, các bác này được báo là cái đảo sắp chìm, thế là các bác kéo nhau chuẩn bị thuyền để chẩu. bác Tình Yêu muốn persevere (the heck is it) được lúc nào hay lúc ế. Đến lúc đảo chìm đến nơi rồi thì bác ý mới quyết định tìm người giúp đỡ. Bác Giầu Sụ lái quả tầu to bự đi qua. Bác Tình Yêu nói "Anh Giầu Sụ ơi, anh cho em quá giang được không?" Bác Giậu Sụ giả nhời "Ứ được đâu đồng chí ạ. Tầu tớ chở toàn vàng với bác, ứ có chỗ cho đồng chí."
Đồng chí Tình Yêu quyết định xin bác Phù Phiếm giúp, bác này cũng cùng lúc đang lái con tầu hơi bị ngon đi qua. "bác Phù Phiếm ơi, giúp em với." "Anh không giúp được chú rồi chú Tình Yêu ạ. Chú ướt như chuột thế kia thì lên đây làm hỏng tầu ngon của anh mất thôi." - Phù Phiếm đáp.
Bác Buồn cũng đang ở gần nên Tình Yêu lại xin tiếp. "Buồn ơi, cho tao đi với mày nhá." "Ôi, thằng Tình Yêu đấy à... tao buồn lắm, tao chỉ muốn ở một mình thôi."
Em Vui cũng đi ngang qua đấy nhưng mà em ý đang sướng quá nên chẳng nghe thấy bác TÌnh Yêu gọi.
Bỗng nhiên, một giọng nói cất lên "Đi nào, thằng Tình Yêu. Tao đưa mày đi vậy." Giọng nói đó là của một cụ khốt. Tình Yêu, đắm chìm trong cảm giác sung sướng vì gặp may, quên cả hỏi tên của bô lão này. Khi tới đất liền, cụ cắp đít đi luôn.
Nhận thấy rằng mình nợ cụ bô này hơi bị nhiều, Tình yêu hỏi Tri Thức, một cụ bô khác "Cái bác giúp cháu là ai thế?" "À, đồng chí Thời Gian ấy mà." Tri Thức trả lời. "Thời Gian á?" Tình Yêu hỏi "Dưng mà sao bác ý lại đi giúp cháu nhể." Tri Thức cười theo kiểu cực kỳ trí thức và nói "Vì chỉ có đồng chí Thời Gian mới hiểu là cháu TÌnh Yêu hơi bị tuyệt của nó..."


what have I learned from it?
First of all, Love is such a dumbass. Everybody knows staying means dying. He knows that, he's awared of that, he's warned of that and yet he's not prepared for that. Such a dumbass, in a flood, if you cant help yourself, no one else can. he sure deserves death more than any other very-close-to-death fools around the world.
Second of all, Time must be gay. Why? because when everybody else is making wise choices not to let that so called Love dumbass on their boat, Time does. And by the conclusion of Mr Knowledge, we can somehow guess that Time is very very gay and Love has offered some "service" to him before (Time knows Love is GREAT, right?)
About my assumption of Love being a male. Well, he sure is a male, you guys should realize that. A female should never have to wait for an elder to come finally to be made use of in a time of chaos, right? I would say, if Love was an ugly girl, Richness might ignore her but Vanity sure would seize the chance.

hehehe, that's my interpretation. My final word: well, for all its flaws, I still have to admit that this is such a nice little story. Nice job, Linly, I hope to see your version tomorrow.

Câu chuyện Tình yêu

Ngày xửa ngày xưa có một hòn đảo là nơi trú ngụ của tất cả các cảm xúc: Hạnh phúc, Nỗi buồn, Tri thức và tất cả những cảm xúc khác gồm cả Tình yêu. Vào một ngày nọ, các cư dân trên đảo được thông báo rằng hòn đảo sẽ bị chìm. Tất cả mọi người đều chuẩn bị rời đi chỉ riêng Tình yêu vẫn muốn ở lại tới giây phút cuối cùng.
Khi hòn đảo hầu như đã chìm hẳn, Tình yêu mới quyết định tìm người giúp. Lúc đó anh chàng Giàu có ngang qua trên một con tàu lớn. Tình yêu gọi "Anh Giàu có ơi, anh làm ơn cho Tình yêu đi cùng được không?". "Tình yêu, tôi không thể. Con tàu của tôi chứa đầy vàng bạc, không còn chỗ cho Tình yêu nữa."
Tình yêu quay sang cầu cứu anh Phù phiếm cũng vừa ngang qua trên một con tàu lộng lẫy . "Hãy giúp em, anh Phù phiếm!". "Không, anh không thể, Tình yêu. Em ướt sũng thế kia sẽ làm hỏng con tàu xinh đẹp của anh mất" . Phù Phiếm trả lời.
Khi Nỗi buồn đi qua, Tình yêu lại nhờ giúp đỡ. "Nội buồn ơi, cho Tình yêu đi cũng được không?" "Oh, Tình yêu... tôi đang buồn đến mức chỉ muốn ở một mình thôi."
Hạnh phúc cũng đi ngang qua nhưng cô ấy đang hạnh phúc đến mức không nghe thấy lời cầu cứu của Tình yêu.
Bỗng nhiên một giọng nói vang lên:"Hãy đi cũng ta, Tình yêu." Đó là một người đã đứng tuổi. Tình yêu đắm chìm trong vui sướng và may mắn đến quên việc hỏi tên người đàn ông đó. Khi tới một vùng đất khô ráo, người đàn ông đó đã đi mất. Tình yêu cảm thấy mắc nợ người đàn ông đã cứu giúp mình quá nhiều, cô tìm hỏi Tri thức, một người lớn tuổi khác "Ai đã cứu cháu hả bác?". "Thời gian đấy." Tri thức trả lời. "Nhưng tại sao Thời gian lại giúp cháu hả bác?" Tình yêu hỏi. "Bởi vì chỉ có Thời gian mới hiểu được Tình yêu tuyệt diệu đến thế nào." Tri thức trả lời với nụ cười thông thái trên môi.

Hihihi các bác đừng cười nhớ.

Ngày xửa ngày xừa, ở trên một hòn đảo nhỏ nơi có những cảm xúc ngự trị. Mội hôm, cư dân trên đảo được thông báo rằng chiếc đảo sẽ bị quân đội thuỷ quân lục chiến của đế quốc Mỹ đánh chiếm trong nay mai, do đó tất cả mọi người phải rời đảo để bảo toàn tính mạng ( khi đi nhớ mang theo hết các tài sản ).
Tất cả mọi người đã chuẩn bị rời đảo, riêng nàng Tình Yêu vẫn còn chần chừ vì cô chưa tìm được số vàng mình đã chôn giấu dưới móng nhà từ 20 năm trước ( đếch biết thằng nào xấu tính đào mất của bà rồi ). Đến khi quân Mỹ đánh tới nơi, nàng Tình Yêu đỏng đảnh mới bắt đầu cuống lên tìm cách rời đảo. Thấy anh Giầu Sụ cưỡi trên con aircraft carrier to uỳnh đi qua, nàng Love thỏ thẻ : " Tinh yêu ơi cho em quá giang một tý có được không ạ ?"
Đồng chí Giầu Sụ lừ mắt nhìn nàng Tình Yêu : " Trông cô cũng khá đấy, nhưng có tiền không ? Tiền vé đi tầu + xăng dầu là 100 USD, nếu không có tiền thì xin mời xuống"
Hơi sốc, nhưng nàng TÌnh yêu vẫn không bỏ cuộc ( mình xinh thế này làm gì chẳng có người giúp). Đúng lúc đó anh Phù Phiếm đi qua, nàng Tinh Yêu liển tiếp cận ngay từ phía sau, nhẹ nhàng " Anh gì đẹp trai ơi, cho em đi nhờ tàu với được không ạ ? ". Chàng Phù Phiếm hào hoa liếc mắt nhìn nàng Tình Yểu rồi khinh khỉnh cười khẩy: " Xấu thế kia mà đòi ngồi lên tàu của tôi à, em có cô bạn nào xinh xinh thì bảo ra đây tôi cho đi nhờ".
Đúng lúc đó chàng Buồn đi qua với con tàu ngầm U-571. Nàng Tình Yêu liền vớ ngay lấy và xin đi cùng. Chàng Buồn nhếch mép lạnh lùng : " Tôi chỉ chơi những với người buồn, mà tôi thấy cô vui vẻ với cả thằng Giàu Có và thằng Phù Phiếm rồi, toi soi hết cả đấy, chẳng có gì mà che được mắt tôi đâu"
Anh Hạnh Phúc ( người yêu cũ của nàng Tình Yêu) cũng đi qua, nhưng nàng Tình Yêu không dám hỏi tại vì anh này đang đèo một cô bé rất xinh ( cô Ghen Tỵ), xinh hơn nàng Tình Yêu nhiều, mà cô bé này hồi trước lại là bạn thân của nàng Tình Yêu
Nàng Tình Yêu cảm thấy đất dưới chân mình như sụp xuống, nàng rơi vào trạng thái vô ngã. Đúng lúc nàng đang ngẩn ngơ, thì tự nhiên có một cái túi đen to đùng chụp lên người nàng, và một mùi thơm thoang thoảng, trước khi lịm đi, nàng vẫn còn nghe thấy một tiếng cười nham hiểm.
Khi tình dậy, nàng Tình Yêu thấy mình nằm trong một khu rừng rậm rạp, tối om om, quần áo rách bươm, xác xơ ( đến vùng đất mới rồi nhé), sờ vào túi thì tiền đã mất sạch. Tình Yêu bèn hỏi Kiến Thức xem ai đã cứu mình. Sau khi nghe rõ đầu đuôi, Kiến Thức nhìn nàng Tình Yêu một cách thương hại :" Chính là thằng Thơi Gian nham hiểm rồi, ta biết chỉ có nó mới có trò đấy, đã lấy hết tiền rồi mà không còn tha cho con gái nhà người ta". Tình Yêu gục xuống, thôi rồi, khôn ba năm dại một giờ. Bỗng nhiên nàng vùng lên như một con thú bị thương, túm cổ áo ông già Kiến Thức khốn khổ và gào lên " Tại Sao ?? Tại sao ông biết mà không cản nó giúp tôi"
Kiến Thức điềm tĩnh trả lời " Ai bảo cô xinh quá, với cả thằng Thời Gian nó hứa với tôi là sau nó sẽ đến lượt tôi, cô thông cảm, anh hùng khó qua ải mỹ nhân"

Sophie?Ts face faded into the gray winter light of the sitting room. She dozed in the armchair that Joe had bought for her on their fortieth anniversary. The room was warm and quiet. Outside it was snowing lightly.
At a quarter past one the mailman turned the corner onto Allen Street. He was behind on his route, not because of the snow, but because it was Valentine?Ts Day and there was more mail than usual. He passed Sophie?Ts house without looking up. Twenty minutes later he climbed back into his truck and drove off.
Sophie stirred when she heard the mail truck pull away, then took off her glasses and wiped her mouth and eyes with the handkerchief she always carried in her sleeve. She pushed herself up using the arm of the chair for support, straightened slowly and smoothed the lap of her dark green housedress.
Her slippers made a soft, shuffling sound on the bare floor as she walked to the kitchen. She stopped at the sink to wash the two dishes she had left on the counter after lunch. The she filled a plastic cup halfway with water and took her pills. It was one forty-five.
There was a rocker on the sitting room by the front window, Sophie eased herself into it. In a half-hour the children would be passing by on their way home from school. Sophie waited, rocking and watching the snow.
The boys came first, as always, running and calling out things Sophie could not hear. Today they were making snowballs as then went, throwing them at one another. One snowball missed and smacked hard into Sophie?Ts window. She jerked backward, and the rocker slipped off the edge of her oval rag rug. The girls dilly-dallied after the boys, in twos and threes, cupping their mittened hands over their mouths and giggling. Sophie wondered if they were telling each other about the valentines they had received at school. One pretty girl with long brown hair stopped and pointed to the window where Sophie sat watching. Sophie slipped her face behind the drapes, suddenly self-conscious.
When she looked out again, the boys and girls were gone. It was cold by the window, but she stayed there watching the snow cover the children?Ts footprints.

Thinking of you (cont.)

A florist�?Ts truck turned onto Allen Street. Sophie followed it with her eyes. It was moving slowly. Twice it stopped and started again. Then the driver pulled up in front of Mrs. Mason�?Ts house next door and parked.
Who would be sending Mrs. Mason flowers? Sophie wondered. Her daughter in Wisconsin? Or her brother? No, her brother was very ill. It was probably her daughter. How nice of her.
Flowers made Sophie think of Joe and, for a moment, she left the aching memory fill her. Tomorrow was the fifteenth. Eight months since his death.
The flower man was knocking at Mrs. Mason�?Ts front door. He carried a long white and green box and a clipboard. No one seemed to be answering. Of course! It was Friday �?" Mrs. Mason quilted at the church in Friday afternoons. The delivery man looked around , then started toward Sophiê?Ts house.
Sophie shoved herself out of the rocker and stood close to the drapes. The man knocked. Her hands trembled as she straightened her hair. She reached her front hall on his third knock.
�?oYes?�?� she said, peering around a slightly opened door. �?oGood afternoon, mâ?Tam�?� the man said loudly. �?oWould you take a delivery for your neighbor?�?�
�?oYes,�?� Sophie answered, pulling the door wide open.
�?oWhere would you like me to put them?�?� the man asked politely as he strode in.
�?oIn the kitchen, please. On the table.�?� The man looked big to Sophie. She could hardly see his face between his green cap and full beard. Sophie was glad he left quickly, and she locked the door after him.
The box was as long as the kitchen table. Sophie drew near to it and bent over to read the lettering: �?oNATALIE�?Ts flowers for every occasion.�?� The rich smell of roses engulfed her. She closed her eyes and took slower breaths, imagining yellow roses. Joe has always chosen yellow. �?oTo my sunshine,�?� he would say, presenting the extravagant bouquet. He would laugh delightedly, kiss her on the forehead, then take her hands in his and sing to her �?oyou are my sunshine.�?�
It was five ô?Tclock when Mrs. Mason knocked at Sophiê?Ts front door. Sophie was still at the kitchen table. The flower box was now open though, and she held the roses on her lap, swaying slightly and stroking the delicate yellow petals. Mrs. Mason knocked again, but Sophie did not hear her, and after several minutes the neighbor left.
Sophie rose a little while later, laying the flowers in the kitchen table. Her cheeks were flushed. She dragged a stepstool across the kitchen floor and lifted a white porcelain vase from the top corner cabinet. Using a drinking glass, she filled the vase with water, then tenderly arranged the roses and greens, and carried them into the sitting room.
She was smiling as she reached the middle of the room. She turned slightly and began to dip and twirl in small slow circles. She stepped lightly, gracefully, around the sitting room, into the kitchen, down to the hall, back again. She danced till her knees grew weak, and then she dropped into the armchair and slept.
