    Notes: Another Olivio Martinez and OSPAAAL poster, this piece advocates solidarity with Vietnam as a basket-weaving design protects the flag of Northern Vietnam and below it the flag of the Vietcong (Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam). As in several other posters, the word “Solidarity” is presented in four prominent internationalist languages: English, Spanish, French, and Arabic.

    [​IMG] The government of South Vietnam chose Việt Cong rights activist and spokesperson, Nguyen Thi Bình, to be head of the Delegation of the Provisional Revolutionary Government at the Paris Conference on Vietnam. While there she participated in negotiations to end the war. This January 27, 1973 photo depicts the signing of documents at the agreement table during the Paris Peace Accords that turned the page on war in Vietnam, to began the process of peace.

    [​IMG] Paris Peace AccordThe Paris Peace Accord were negotiations between the Provisional Revolutionary Government (PRG), Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV), Republic of Vietnam (RVN), and the United States that was issued in 1973. The main agreements made in the Paris Peace Accords were that there would be a cease-fire, the US would begin to withdraw their troops, all captured prisoners would be released, and north and south vietnam would begin peaceful negotiations.
