Earth Hour – Is it necessary
Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. Only a year later and Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries/territories participating. On Saturday 27 March, Earth Hour 2010 became the biggest Earth Hour ever. A record 128 countries and territories joined the global display of climate action.
In spite of numerous achievements, some complain much about this environmental event. In March 2010, the Telegraph quoted electricity experts that "it could therefore result in an increase in carbon emissions" due to complications related to rapidly lowering than rising electricity generation. Moreover, during the 2010 Earth Hour in the city of Uusikaupunki in Finland, due to the turned-off street lights, which is a part of this event, a 17-year-old female motorcyclist hit a 71-year-old man, causing a fatal accident.
Suggested Questions
1. Is it necessary to have the Earth Hour?
2. Are there any other more effective solutions to address the environment problems than Earth hour?
3. Do you keep a sense of environment protecting in your mind? What did you do to save the environment around you? What will you do in the future?
4. Next year, presume that you are the president of our country. Do you want to involve Vietnam into Earth Hour alliance?
· If yes, presumably you will be opposed by Vietnamese residents for taking part in an ineffective campaign
· If no, presumably you will be opposed by other nations
è What will you cope with this?

White Lies
In the 16th century, France celebrated the New Year just like we do today, except they partied on April 1st. In 1562, Pope Gregory changed the calendar to the one we use today and from then on, the New Year began on January 1st. Lots of people didn't know about the new calendar, or they ignored the new calendar and kept celebrating on April 1st. Everyone else called them April fools and played tricks on them.
Tra***ionally April fool’s day has been celebrated by millions throughout the world as just a simple joke or a practical prank that have been practice by young and old alike, there is no age barrier. When questions are asked what is April fool’s day? Where did it come from, and how did you learn of it. Most people say their first experience was in grammar school most targeting groups between 1st grade and 2nd grade habitually practicing the bun but harmless jokes all the way through college and continuing to now end. The humorous fun is an excellent excuse to play it on people you like and your lover. Everyone and anyone can be a target for a April fools gag and not be held responsible for their own foolishness whether you are the foolee or the fooler.

Suggest question:

1. Have you ever tricked anyone or have been tricked by another? How did you or they do? And how did it work?
2. Should we tell lies ? And when is appropriate?
3. Which is the best day to propose a girl/boy … April 1st . You know why?? If she/he accept its, your luck otherwise just tell April Fool . What do you think about it? Do you want to try ?

INFLATION
These days in Vietnam, a multitude of necessities simultaneously increase their prices, from food to petrol, electricity and so on. This phenomenon is understandably due to the scarcity of natural resources such as fossil fuels all over the world. However, in Vietnam, the causes are not only similar to the whole globe, but also the habit of dwellers here that people deliberately increases the prices on special days when commo***y becomes scarce. Moreover, it is the lack of management skill from the ministry of economy that makes the problem worse.

Suggested questions:

• Are you affected by the inflation? What do you do to deal with the growing inflation in Vietnam now?
• In your opinion, what are the main causes of this inflation?
• Do you think that this inflation is able to deteriorate Vietnamese economy? Can you show some effects of this problem?
• Economy is deemed to be bound up with society as a whole. Do you think that the inflation in Vietnam might rise at the expense of the society? Can you predict this trend in the near future (one or two years later)?
• What do you think about solutions for Vietnamese economy this time? Do you know what they do to solve in the other countries?

People have been talking much about success, how *****cceed and what factors lead us *****ccess. They rarely discuss about or do not want to mention failure, which always goes together with success. Failure is defined as the state of not meeting a desirable or intended objective. It is commonly viewed as the opposite of success. But does failure really contrast *****ccess? Or it is an essential part of great achievement?
Let’s move on to some suggested questions and start discussing!
12.00 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";}
1. Do you have any failures in your life? What are they? What is the biggest failure uptil now?
2. How does failure affect you? Should we avoid being failed as much as possible or just “let it be” (i.e. you may think the more failure you’ve got, the more success will come!)
3. What are your solutions to deal with such failures? Share your experiences

We are Vietnamese who were born and raised on the S-shaped piece of land, tied to this territory and have acquired an adequate education in Vietnam, which impart a huge pride of the nation. But have you ever thought about the difference between the strength of our country in the wartime, able to defeat the most powerful empires, and itself in the peace time with numerous unsolvable difficulties. So what is hindering us?
Presumably, you may hear the phrase "Thought decides habits, habits decide on actions, and actions lead to results”. There have been manifold reports of Vietnamese’s habits, ironically the hulk being about the bad ones. Therefore, as far as I am concerned, those shameful habits have given Vietnam a bad name, hindering the development of Vietnamese.
