Iran buys 100 Russian refueling aircraft for its air force to reach any point in the Mid East
In defiance of the international arms embargo, Iran last week placed an order with Moscow for a huge fleet of 100 Russian IL78 MKI tanker aircraft (NATO: Midas) for refueling its air force in mid-flight, thereby extending its range to 7,300 km. This is reported exclusively by debkafile from its military and intelligence sources. The transaction runs contrary to the terms of the nuclear accord the six world powers and Iran signed in Vienna earlier this month.
These tanker planes can simultaneously refuel six to eight warplanes. Their acquisition brings Israel, 1.200km away – as well the rest of the Middle East - within easy range of Iranian aerial bombardment. It also puts Iran’s air force ahead of Israel’s in terms of the quantity and range of its refueling capacity.

Whereas opponents of the Vienna deal have warned that Tehran will spend the billions of dollars released by sanctions relief as a bonanza for fueling its campaigns of terror in the region, it turns out that Iran’s first post-accord purchase is a heavy investment in the rearmament and upgrade of its armed forces’ aggressive capabilities.
The Israeli air force is familiar with the Russian airborne tanker from its use by the Indian air force with which Israel has close ties of cooperation. Its military engineers have also upgraded the Russian fuel tankers in service with the Uzbekistan air force.

Months after sightings of Russian submarines turned out to be false, Sweden seems to be at it again. On Monday, a Swedish team of underwater explorers claimed to have discovered the wreck of a mysterious mini-sub within Swedish waters. The culprit? It must be Russia.
Last October, authorities in Stockholm claimed to have shocking evidence of a covert Russian incursion. A grainy photo taken along the Swedish coast appeared to show two vessels on the horizon. With no other evidence to go on, the government decided the objects were Russian submarines.

Unsurprisingly, these claims were disproved only months later.


"It was not a submarine," Ola Truedsson, commander of the naval division of Sweden’s armed forces, said in a statement released in April. "We are doing this to clarify what was perceived to be a submarine in a photograph, but what we know with certainty was a civilian working ship."

But despite that admission, the paranoia has not ceased. On Monday, a band of Swedish explorers known as Ocean X Team announced the discovery of a small submersible which sank within Swedish territorial waters.

Based purely on the presence of “Cyrillic letters,” the sub is being attributed to the Russian Navy.

"The submarine is about 20 meters long and three and a half meters wide," reads the press release from Ocean X Team. "It is unclear how old the submarine is and how long it has been laying at the sea floor, but the Cyrillic letters on the hull indicates that it is Russian."


Found with a Remote Operated Vehicle, the object has been confirmed by the Swedish Armed Forces, though the precise location has not been provided.

There are a number of other mysterious details related to the wreck. For one, Ocean X Team appears *****spect that whatever crew had been onboard are still inside, given that the vessel’s hatches remain closed.

"The submarine is completely intact, have no visible damage to the hull and the hatches are closed," the statements reads. "Therefore do we fear that the crew have not been able to save [themselves] when the sub went down…"

Crafts of that size can typically hold between three and six people.

According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, authorities also suspect that the vessel must have been involved in “a secret mission.” This conclusion is based on the assumption that any legitimate submarine activity would have signaled for help in the event of an emergency.

"There may well be a Russian submarine that for unknown reasons failed," Swedish Security Consultant Joakim von Braun told Expressen.

The team is already planning a new expe***ion to further investigate the crash site. If past precedent is any indication, OXT will realize their shocking discovery was, in fact, a downed fishing boat.

After all, the team’s previous claim to fame was a submerged "Baltic Sea UFO."

The military says it is now studying video footage of the wreck taken by divers off Sweden's eastern coast.

The divers from Ocean X Team and Ixplorer claim they have found a Russian mini-submarine, pointing to Cyrillic letters on the hull.

Last year, Sweden's military were engaged in an extensive hunt for a suspected Russian submarine.

Naval vessels and planes were involved in the search in the Stockholm archipelago in October, but the operation was called off after one week.

Russia's defence ministry has denied any of its ships were involved.

Russia's annexation of Ukraine's southern Crimea peninsula last year and Moscow's continuing support for separatist rebels in Ukraine's east have fuelled suspicion about its intentions towards other neighbouring states, notably in the Baltic.

'Completely intact'
The Swedish military says it is too early to say definitively that the wreck is indeed that of a submarine.

Spokesman Jesper Tengroth said on Monday it was better "to come back with facts rather than speculation", the Associated Press news agency reports.

Earlier, Ocean X said in a statement it had found "a Russian mini-submarine... not far from the Swedish coast".

The company said the vessel was about 20m (66ft) long and 3.5m wide.

"It is unclear how old the submarine is and how long it has been laying at the sea floor, but the Cyrillic letters on the hull indicates that it is Russian."

It added that the submarine was "completely intact", and its hatches were closed.

Ocean X's Stefan Hogeborn was quoted as saying he feared the crew had not been able to escape when the vessel went down.

One expert quoted in the Swedish press suggested the wreck might be that of a Russian submarine that sank in 1916.???

Hồi tháng 10-2014, Thụy Điển huy động tàu chiến, tàu dò mìn, trực thăng cùng binh sĩ truy tìm một vật thể bí ẩn ngoài khơi Stockholm cả tuần lễ. Khi đó, có thông tin tiết lộ vật thể kia là một tàu ngầm nước ngoài, có lẽ Nga. Đến tháng 4 năm nay, Chuẩn đô đốc Anders Grenstad xác nhận vật thể ấy là một tàu dân sự.
