Sau khi kiểm soát được tuyến đường nối liền phía Tây Aleppo, các lực lượng Quân đội Syria đang ồ ạt kéo về đây với tham vọng giải phóng Aleppo.

Truyền thông Cộng hòa Ả Rập Syria hôm 4/11 tuyên bố, lực lượng Quân đội Syria đã tái thiết lập tuyến liên lạc tiếp vận với phía Tây thành phố Aleppo, mà cụ thể là kiểm soát được tuyến đường cao tốc Ithriya-Khannaser.

Các lực lượng Quân đội Syria tuyên bố rằng họ đã đẩy lùi phiến quân IS cách tuyến đường cao tốc 10km, đảm bảo an toàn cho các lực lượng hành quân qua đây tiến về Aleppo.




Các lực lượng quân sự gồm Quân đội Syria đang liên tục vượt cao tốc Ithriya-Khannaser tiến về giải phóng Aleppo.

America's Worst Nightmare in Syria - Russian S-300 Missile

American neocons report that they are worried that Russia may have deployed S-300 surface-to-air missile systems - or possibly S-400 which are even more powerful - in Syria. The Russian head of air force, Viktor Bondarev, talked about this in an interview with the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. Bondarev said: “We have studied all the possible threats. We sent there not only fighter jets, attack aircraft, bomber aircraft, helicopters but also missile systems. As various force majeure circumstances may occur,”. The American neocon magazine The National Interest wrote that "If the Russians have deployed the S-300—or worse—the far more capable S-400 strategic surface-to-air missile defense system to Syria, it could effectively render entire swaths of Syria into de facto no-fly zones for U.S. and allied aircraft. Only the U.S. Air Force’s Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor or the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bomber would be able to operate inside areas protected by those weapons."

It looks like even the most hawkish American neocons start to consider that their game is lost in the Middle East.

News Alert: Syrian Army Captures Ghammam and Bakdash Mountains in Northern Latakia

One week after capturing and then losing the strategic town of Ghammam in northern Latakia, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Qurdaha, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance) – have imposed full control over this town after intense firefights with the Islamist rebels from the Free Syrian Army’s “1st Coastal Brigade” and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra.”

The Syrian Armed Forces launched this counter-assault on Friday morning after reinforcements from Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish Mountains) arrived to help their comrades push north towards the heart of Jabal Turkmen (Turkmen Mountains); these reinforcements proved integral, as the Syrian Armed Forces were able to impose full control over this town along the Latakia-Aleppo Highway (M-4 Highway).

In ad***ion to their success at Ghammam in Jabal Turkmen, the Syrian Armed Forces imposed full control over the mountaintop that overlooks the aforementioned town; this small mountaintop in Jabal Turkmen is also known as “Jabal Bakdash.”

According to a military source inside the Latakia Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade led the assault on Jabhat Al-Nusra’s positions at Jabal Bakdash, killing over 15 enemy combatants and seizing 3 armored vehicles mounted with anti-aircraft machine guns before the aforementioned Islamist group retreated north towards Deir Hanna.

These two sites are strategically located along the Latakia-Aleppo Highway that leads to the rebel stronghold of Jisr Al-Shughour; this aforementioned city is the gateway to the Idlib Governorate.
