Erasmus Mundus 2009-2010 / 2010-2011 - Trưng cầu dân ý cho Road Show 2009 ở Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, HCMC

    Xin Ciao Everyone ! :D

My name is Matthew, I''m a 3 month intern at the Delegation of the European Commission to Vietnam and I''m 21 years old (22 in the Vietnamese calendar). I love Vietnam: the people here are so friendly, the food is so delicious, and the beer is so refreshing (haha) !

First of all, it''s really hard for me to type in here; the Vietnamese keyboard style has many accents r37. I?Tm wondering if I?Tm one of the only foreigners in here, probably the only one who doesn?Tt speak Vietnamese anyway.

My friend and colleague Lan, known as ?oalwayslatê? helped me make this account and join the forums so that I and the Delegation could have your ideas and point of view for what you want to see and hear (what?Ts useful for you) at the Roadshow about the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships in September.

I am in charge of making the Powerpoint Presentation that will be shown to promote this programme. The previous years?T powerpoints were quite technical, with lots of numbers that seemed to be extra information not so important to us students. Just so you know, I am going to finish my French Bachelor degree once I complete this internship (by the way the EM is for Masters), and was lucky enough to have a scholarship for 4 years in the USA, which just ran out this year. I?Tm doing a double-degree (possible with EM for Masters), and that means that I will have to find a way to pay for my last academic year in USA ?" yeah, I know how it feels to need money to pay for studies.

What I am thinking of making is a powerpoint that includes the deadline dates, maybe an example of applying for a scholarship, and more pictures to make it more interesting. Also, not such a boring background.

Also, feel free to ask me any questions that you have about living abroad (I?Tve done 3 student exchange programs), Erasmus Mundus (even though you guys know more than me I think haha), travelling, or anything else you would like (like my life hehe).

    Cam on muy! :)

    Hi Matthew!
Your plan sounds very interesting! Many Vietnamese students still do not know about this valuable and interesting Master scholarship!
As far as I know, from the academic year 2010, the tuition of every EM program will be reset to 8000 EUR as the maximum to ensure the equity among students of different EM programs. An EM scholarships now also extend to PhD programs.
For the powerpoint about EM program, besides the general information about all EM Master program, I think you can share your own experience as an Erasmus Mundus student, from the beginning as an applicant, preparing your documents, the way you stress your strengths and suitability to that master program. And if you can interview some professors about the evaluation process and the important criteria for choosing candidate, it would be really interesting!
And the roadshow in 3 cities is also very interesting. I don''''t know any official statistic up to now about regional allocation of Vietnamese successful applicants.

    Hi Matthew,
I''m eagerly looking forward to the roadshow. I''m now applying for the Institute of Education, London University through the ukpass.com website. This Institute also belongs to the Erasmus Mundus scholarship system. It would be great help if the roadshow could provide more information on the application process, for example: what is a learning agreement? who can provide learning agreement if needed?
Thank you very much and hope to see you (and your presentation) at the roadshow.
