1) 8/12 : Migration purpose, dành cho higher education degree, là trình độ Master trở lên
Q. I have completed a 12-unit masters degree, can I apply for migration?
A. Yes. From the 1 of July 2009, CPA Australia will accept all qualifications assessed as comparable to an Australian higher education degree with a minimum eight units for the purpose of migration.
However, to be academically eligible for Associate membership with CPA Australia you are required to hold a comparable three-year bachelor degree, or a comparable 16-unit (excluding exemptions) masters degree and cover all 12 core areas
2) 9/10 : migration purpose, cho trình độ Bachelor
3) 12/12 là dành cho Associate Membership
To meet the educational standard for any of the above ASCO occupations, you must have formal qualifications assessed by as at least comparable to an Australian bachelor degree. These qualifications must include adequate coverage of at least nine of the 12 core curriculum areas required for Associate membership.
Work experience will not be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications. To be academically eligible for Associate membership with CPA Australia you must hold a comparable degree and all 12 core knowledge areas need to be covered.

Higher education degree có lẽ hiểu là tertiary education trở lên thôi. Bachelor degree chak cũng ok.
Cái khó hiểu ở đây là how to define "8 units"? Nếu hiểu là 8 môn thì hơi lạ bởi 12 lĩnh vực kia ko tương ứng với 12 môn mà là khoảng 15-16 môn gì đó. Vậy hiểu là 8 lĩnh vực? Như vậy sao ko dùng từ khác mà lại dùng "unit" cho khó hiểu?

Truớc giờ mình cũng hiểu như bạn Kangaroo08, tự nhiên nó đẻ ra cái Nowboarding đó làm mình confuse. Cứ đợi xem nó trả lời xem sao vậy.
Mình có gọi hỏi CPA Aus o HCM thì thấy họ cũng trả lời ấm ớ quá. Có điều nhờ đó mà biết được 1 thông tin khá hay là mình có thể nộp hết bằng cấp để họ assess free từ giờ tới tháng 12 xem mình còn thiếu cái gì trong 8 cái lĩnh vực đó, cái nào thiếu có thể đăng ký học ở chính CPA Aus để bổ sung. Ít nhất thì sau khi được assess mình cũng biết là mình thiếu gì để tính tiếp
Tất nhiên khi học bổ sung ở CPA Aus rồi thì mình sẽ thành AM -f migration vì sau khi thành AM sẽ được xét migration free và mình vẫn nghĩ là chắc chắn đựoc,.

As the CPA Program enrolments have closed for 2009, we recommend that candidates wait until December 2009 before submitting their application for membership, this will ensure that
1. You have the full 12 semesters to complete the 6 CPA Program Professional level subjects (your start date begins from when you become a member, not when you first enrol into a subject)
2. You aren''t required to pay membership fees ($165) for 2009
3. You application can be assessed based on the new pathways criteria

Foundation level
The CPA Program foundation level represents the first eight segments and provides you with the stable base of knowledge of accounting principles and practice. The following segments represent the core knowledge requirements you are required to have completed before applying for Associate membership:
Accounting Concepts and Principles
Financial Accounting and Reporting
Management accounting
Foundations of Accounting
Foundations of Business Law
Economics and Markets
Business Finance
IT and Business Processes
*Au***ing and Taxation law can be completed as part of the CPA Program Professional level if not satisfied previously.
You have a range of options to gain the core knowledge requirements of the foundation level. Depending on what you have already studied at university, or another higher education provider, you may be eligible for exemptions from any or all of the foundation level segments.
For example, graduates of many bachelors degrees in accounting will be exempted from all eight foundations level segments, meaning that you are more than half way to becoming a CPA.
You don''t need to have studied an accounting major to gain exemptions; CPA Australia will assess whatever formal education you have undertaken to determine whether you have covered the core knowledge requirements in the foundation level.
From 2010 a series of foundation level exams will also be available through CPA Australia. These exams are designed to assess technical knowledge gained through work experience or study, for example:
*Graduates of non-accounting disciplines, who have one or more gaps in their coverage of core knowledge requirements
*Candidates with significant work experience in accounting, with no formal qualifications
Once a candidate has achieved, or can demonstrate competence against, the core knowledge requirements of the foundation level they can join CPA Australia as an Associate member and commence the professional level.

Có vẻ mọi nguời đang tích cực trả lời về vấn đề CPA, nên câu hỏi của mình có vẻ bị quên , nhờ các bạn có kinh nghiệm trả lời giùm thắc mắc của mình nhé. Các bác cho mình hỏi nhờ chút là, diện visa 176 ( Bang bảo lãnh) đấy, có bắt buộc phải ở lại bang bảo lãnh 2 năm không, nếu trong trường hợp, mình xin được việc ở bang khác thì mình có được move qua ko, hay phải ở đủ 2 năm??

ở đây state rất rõ là bác phải ở ít nhất 2 năm mà http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/176/obligations-applicant.htm . Trừ khi trường hợp của bác có gì đặc biệt thì mới có thể waive
