The idea comes from Ms. Maroon’s activities on English listening skills over 3 years ago. That is creating a group of people, around 7 to 10, to listen to a piece of news, a short story or even novels. Each track of the listening would be posted to the listeners or the learners, and then their duty is to write all words down, or to fill in the blank, depending on Topic Holder’s requests. There would be definitely that the topic holder will do as the same job as you do.

Support Lifesuck if you feel it’s ok for opening this topic :-":-"

Thank you so much Minh Trang. You’re always such a polite and encouraging girl deep-down.

    To Thang_dien:

Firstly, I don’t want to make any conflict with you even though it’s definitely true that you could bring me a lot of new ideas

Secondly, several messages would like to be sent you to clarify why I am writing as above

    1. What is simple present? How does it function in English?

    2. How far do you know about Advanced English Grammar?

The question is for THAT IS CREATING…. Well , V-ing can be used as main verb to show purpose or activities. You can find this usage in a lot of famous e-news like New York Times, BBC , CNN or Orpah. com

“THEIR DUTY IS…. “ – the reason for using IS explains one con***ion that all learners or listeners will have the only and the same activity when studying.

    3. To WOULD BE DEFINITELY – I totally agree that I was not right when using adverb after BE verb.

    4. I am not wrong in spelling, only very few mistakes, as mentioned in (3), in grammar. Be aware of that grammar and spelling have a considerable discrepancy

    5. Be careful with what you are saying, otherwise you have to pay for what you do.

    Hi,
Though I'm not signing up to this group, I'd like to add a few suggestions to the idea.
First, attempts to write ALL words down is totally a waste of time. It takes time and often causes frustration as you are forced to 'complete' the article while, in fact, all you need is the main idea of what the article is all about! Have you guys ever heard a conversation with every words clear and simple, but still had no idea of what they're talking about? Alternatively, you may ask listeners to respond to questions like: 'what's the article is about'? Provide a brief description?, etc,
Second, one article a week is just too little. Three shorter ones will definitely be better.
Btw, I find 2-minute CNN Update podcasts are worth considering.
    Hope this helps
