The bar chart reveals information about the percentage of Internet Usage in Taiwan at the different age groups between 1998 and 2000.
Taking a quick glance from the chart, it can be clearly seen that in each year, the ratio of 16 to 50-year-old people browsing the web is at high level with about over 40%. This could be because they need to use for studying, working and doing something else. Besides, people at less than 15 and over 50-year age groups spend less time for the Internet with under 10% .
As you can see the various age groups in three years, the most striking feature is the significant rise in using the Internet at the age of under 15 years old. It climbs from just 2% in 1998 to 8% and then 9% in 1999 and 200 respectively. By constrast, there is fewer people from 16 to 30 years old accessing to the websites in the period of three years. For instance, this percentage hits a peak by 53% in 1998 whereas it goes into free-fall by 45% in 1999 and 44% in 2000. At the third age group from 31 to 50 years old, the propotion of internet usage collapses slowly about 2% each year between 1998 and 2000. However, the last age group at 50 and more years has a dramatical surge in the share of people approaching the Internet. This ratio skyrockets sharply from 4% to 8% during 2 years between 1998 and 1999.After that, it continously soars by 10% in 2000.
General speaking, this fact shows that in Taiwan, with the technological development, more and more people under 15 and over 50 years old connect to the Internet, while the number of people at 16-50 years old reduces slightly.

In recent times there has much debate about which subjects should be included on the school curriculum. One particular issue is whether the introduction of more modern subjects such as IT for more tra***ional subjects such as art and music disadvantages the pupils. I believe that this is a difficult question and different solutions need to be found for primary and secondary schools.

There is one major argument in favor of replacing art, music and sport on the curriculum with subjects like IT. This is that the purpose of school is to prepare children for their working life after school, so the subjects on the curriculum should be relevant to their potential careers. From this point of view, IT is much relevant to schoolchildren as they need to be computer literate if they want to exist in the workplace. For example, it is easy to see that word processing and programming skills will impress employers more than the ability to run fast or draw well. Moreover, there are people who argue that there is no harm in dropping extracurricular activities in order to find space for new subjects like information technology. They contend that these new subjects are inevitable for children to develop their academic careers and they should find time apart from school hours to engage in non-academic pursuits.

There are also, however, strong arguments for retaining the more tra***ional subjects as part of the curriculum. Subjects like art, sport and music nurture the talents and creativity of students in school. Removing such subjects from the curriculum would definitely have a negative impact on the physical and psychological development of children of that age group. In ad***ion, significant counter-argument is that the purpose of education is not just to prepare children for later careers, but also to develop their all round “culture”. It is important that children leave school with some knowledge of art, music and sport as all these are all help develop aspects of young people’s personalities.

My own personal point of view is that there is merit in both sides of the debate and that all children should study some IT, art music and sport at least at primary school. At secondary school, however, children should be offered a choice between these subjects so that they can continue to study them if they wish.

The bar graph indicates the amount of time per week that married pp work without being paid due to 2 genders and 3 groups, namely the without children, with 1-2 children and with 3+ children group. It is clear that the hours of unpaid work done by married women were more than that done by married men, and the gap between them was getting wider from the without children group to the with 3+ children one, which was 10 hours, 35 hours and nearly 45 hours per week respectively. In ad***ion, while the figures for men were similar to each other in all 3 categories, at approximately 15 hours per week, those for women witnessed a huge difference. Women who had no child worked for 30 hours per week, which was just half as much as the amount of time that ones having more than 3 children had to work for.

Regarding the graph, there are some reasons for the differences between categories I can mention. First, doing such activities as taking care of children and gardening is being considered as the responsibility of women in some countries, men, therefore, don’t have to spend as much time as them to do those unpaid work. Moreover, owing to the fact that the more children you have, the more work you have to do in order to bring them up well, women with 3 children have to work harder than those who have fewer children. Speaking 2

Describe a city, town or village you have visited which you like:
You should say:
Where the city, town or village is
What the area is like in general
What the key features of the city, town or village are
And explain what you enjoy most about this town or city.

Well, first of all, I should say that I want to present to you a beautiful city that named ***********. Actually, I have lived there for 2 months the last year and my initial point would be that I will come here to live all my life in the future. All right, I really need to kick off with the point that *********** is the centre of Vietnam's southern. Of course, you know, I could say that this city takes the first position in the industrial system of the the country and the southern especially. Actually, you may or may not be aware that infact HoChiMinh is situated among many industrialized cities such as Binh Duong, Vung Tau, Dong Nai... and I shouldn't forget to mention that it takes an important part of the domestic and the international circulation of Vietnam.
Also, I suppose I should really say that *********** posses a dynamic life style that attracks young people who want to build a brillant social position. There are many reasons supporting my view that are an open atmosphere, a pratical hattitude, a mix culture, a rapid rythm ... Indeed, this city provides everyone so many chances to grow up our carreer everywhere everytimes. Education and Formation, Arts and Entertainment, Commerce and Trade, Mechanic and Industry... every section are on the way of developing.
Another point wich I could add is that you could visit many entertainment centers on the town, and if you need fresh air, it's so simple to take a western tour in a few days or run along the beach, climb up on the mountain in some neibourgh provinces . Something else that I need to comment on is that you will find your favor meal which is part of various speciality goods that come from everywhere in the country and in the world.
After careful consideration of the above reasons, I personally agree that the most attracting thing of this city is its own life style that has been keeping for long times.

Taking a quick glance from the chart, it can be clearly seen that Saudi Arabia is the country having the largest oil production capacity between 1990 and 2010, at about 8.5 million of barrels per day and over 14 million of barrels per day respectively. It is followed by Iran with estimated capacity from 3 to over 4 million of barrels per day. Iraq, Kuwait and UAE had the similar oil production capacity in 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010. In contrast, the capacity of Qatar, in overall, is the lowest, at about under 1 million of barrels per day. On the other hand, we can see that the oil production capacity of most countries, except Qatar, have increased steadily since 1990 and hit the peak in 2010. The oil production of Qatar increased between 1990 and 2000. After that, it dropped and reached the lowest point in 2005, at approximately 0.4 million of barrels per day. With the changing so fast of the modern life and the increase of global population, many nations must struggle with a variety of problems as a result of the bad side of unstable development. In which, the global climate change is emerging as a hot topic in many international as well as national debate. It is not appropriate moment to claim who is responsible for this natural disaster but high time to speak out the voice of the unity of whole the world from the rich countries to the less better off ones, from the individual to the government and large companies.

In one hand, there is no doubt that individual is a key force in the fight against the warming of the Earth. In fact, climate change is claimed to be due to the skyrocket of population and the bad behavior in the protection of the environment. Only by littering to the trash, limiting use of plastic materials, turning off the light when unnecessary and particularly planting green trees, individual could join to protecting the Earth. According to the recent scientific studies, one planted tree can reduce an average of 5,2 tones of carbon dioxide emissions per year. Thus, you could easily calculate how much has this toxic gas been excluded by green trees through its photosynthesis process if more than 6 billion of global population participate to planting trees.

On the other hand, government with political power and law system in its hand does not stand out of the disease of warming of the Earth Mother. By dint of establishing a policy with the help of court and military for protection the environment and encouraging even forcing individuals to follow it , the government has definite influence to enhance the individual’s responsibility in keeping a green planet. In ad***ion, the government invests their resources in researching and developing biofuels and economical energies but friendly to the environment. The American and Japan are two typical examples. The governments of these two wealthy countries whose the energy consumption contribute more than 30% of carbon dioxide emissions of the world have committed to reduce approximately 50% their carbon dioxide emissions within the next 20 years. These countries also are leading in using renewable energy sources in the production as well as in daily activities such as producing cars using solar power. It is clear that these positive actions have raised the alarm for not only the individuals but the other countries in protecting the Earth. Accompaning with the government and individual in the problem of changing climate, there is also the appearance of large organization. By the way of using energy effectively and saying no with discharging industrial waste into the environment, the contribution of companies is undeniable in the protection our planet against the global climate change.

I am convinced that the fight for the protection of our green planet is not only the responsibility of citizen but also that of the government and organizations. As there goes a saying: where there is unity there is always victory, I have right to believe that there will be no doomsday at 22/12/2012 if the world hold hand in together to protect the Earth. However, it will be too late if we do not act promptly.

The bar chart illustrates the percentage of vehicles which people in one European city used in the years 1960, 1980 and 2000.
In three periods, the number of people using trains and tubes rose and fell unsteadily. Increasing to 28 percent in the year 1980, the percentage of train decreased 6 percent in 2000. Going up then down, use of the tube was 28, 22 and 25 percent respectively.
While the percentage of car which people used rose strongly, this bus’s figure fell significantly. With the biggest gap between 2 periods being about 15 percent, the use of cars went up from the lowest to the highest percentage. The opposite is true in the use of buses. Despite being the highest rate in 1960, it goes down rapidly to become the lowest in 2000 with only 15 percent.
In conclusion, there were a widely rise and fall of the car's and bus’s percentage in the years 1960, 1980 and 2000. While the percentage people who used train and tube varied more steadily.

The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many people. But while it may offer some advantages, it is probably better to stay at home because of the difficulties a student inevitably encounters living and studying in a different culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

As we see in today's world that every year thousands of students go to overseas for university study and their better future. But there is no doubt that going to study in the foreign country with different language and culture can be frustrating and sometimes more painful experience. The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect to many people but it also we cannot deny to the fact that it has both advantages and disadvantages to the students who go to abroad for their further higher study. It works as the two sides of the same coin.

First, studying at an overseas university gives individuals the opportunity to improve social skills by interacting and communicating with students from different origins and cultures. Compared to their peers who study in their home countries, students who are living overseas will be more successful in adapting themselves to new environments and situations in life.

Second, living and studying overseas is an irreplaceable experience when it comes to learn standing on your own feet. One who is living overseas will of course struggle with loneliness, living away from their family and friends and but those difficulties will turn into valuable experiences in the following steps of life. Moreover, they will learn living without depending on anyone else, become self-reliance and able to deal with many difficulties in daily life. As a result, they will become more mature and work more effectively

Also, employers are mostly looking for people who have international and language skills. Becoming successful in this study will give the student an edge in job market.

Therefore, one who has studied and lived overseas will be more eligible for the job than one's peers who have not had such experiences.
.
Third, we can study with advanced teaching methods as well as modern facilities. By means of them, studying is becoming much easier and more effective. For example, in some cases, it is hard for students to understand the lesson fully but with the help of computers and other modern devices such as projectors, videos and so on, students can get knowledge quickly. Moreover, learning in such friendly studying environment also helps us become more sociable, communicative and especially professional which are important qualities contributing to our success in the future. So, learning overseas gives us a good chance to develop our both social and studying skills.

The most obvious advantage to overseas university study is real-life use of a different language. While a person can study a foreign language in his or her own country, it cannot compare with constant use of the language in academic and everyday life. There is no better opportunity to improve second-language skills than living in the country in which it is spoken. Moreover, having used the language during one's studies offers a distinct advantage when one is applying for jobs back home that require the language.

In spite of these advantages, these are having the difficulties a student inevitably encounters living and studying in a different culture.

There are some people who said that studying overseas makes lives become more complicated. The first one is homesick by which many people are affected. Staying away from families leads them to a state of depression which may distract them from their most important duty-learning and result in bad marks in the exam. Second, different culture and language is also a major cause. Because of this difference, some people feel like a fish out of water. They can not communicate with others comfortably and have no trustworthy friends and relatives to fall back on in an emergency. Consequently, they will be always in low spirit which causes negative effects on their studying. Thus, loneliness, one of the by-products of studying overseas is problematic for almost all students.
These examples show that going overseas for university study will bring you a lot of new things.
Although you will have some difficulties, you will have a chance to discover a different culture.
