Do young people today make good use of their leisure time? Or do they spend too much time watching television and playing video games, instead of taking part in more productive activities?
Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention ,one of which is that making use leisure time of young people today. Many people think that young people make good use of their leisure time , however, I personally feel they spend too much time watching television and playing video games, instead of participate in more productive activities.

First of all, the most young people are wasting a lot of time to watching television and playing video games. It will all start after the primary school as soon as kids become teenagers at the age of 15. The main reason is that in past television had just one or two programs so children were spending most of their times playing outside and dong activities but now along with the development of science and technology, cable or digital television are brought to every home, there are too much attractive programs such as HBO, Start Movies, Disney chanel, etc , so they are just siting in front of screen and do nothing. According to statistics of vnexpress.net ,which is a famous newspaper of Viet Nam , Vietnamese spend 3,9 hours a day seeing television. Moreover, following published amount of research of scientists , they found out, watching TV for 3 hours a day has high levels of psychological distress and being physically inactive may make matters worse . In other words by being inactive children will have problems with obesity and heart diseases in near future. In ad***ion to this, the video games are launch more and more, children are attractive by it and this thing is harmful for them.

On the other hand, there are also some young people make good use of their leisure time such as participating in more productive activities. In fact , they have been taking part in voluntary clubs or sociable organizations to help to poor , disabled children or activities for environmental protection. From my own perspective, the parents need to teach children how to manage time effetively.

Overall, we have seen that young people need to control time themselves effectively . To be realistic we could not ask them to not watch TV, but as parents can teach their children how to use television in a beneficial way and if we provide and replace high quality of other activities rather than watching TV, we can save our young generation from heart diseases and other premature problems that may happen for them in future.

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is that young people use of their leisure time in vain activities, such as watching television or playing video games.
I do strongly support the idea that the young people spend too much time on watching television and playing video games. Firstly, let’s imagine, if in one day, a person spends an hour of watching television without gaining any useful information, then in one year he will waste 365 hours and in 10 year is 3650 hours. With that time, you can learn several language as well as finishing your studying course. Besides, television programmes are not always suitable for all ages. It might also be noted that playing video games can decrease important social interactions between family and friends. Therefore, young people cannot improve their soft-skills like talking, leadership or the others. This anti-social behavior will make children to keep away from others and become passive.
Young people should use their leisure time effectively by taking part in more productive activity. They can also be a volunteer to help other people or spending time with family, relatives and friends. Social skills gained are important for them to make sure that they can build a good relationship with other people. Therefore, it will make them to become a better person. Beside that, young people can also do a part time job in their leisure time. They will not only get extra money, but they also get a new experience that the other people never have. Young people can also involve in sport activities such as playing basketball, football and swimming...
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that how much time should we spend on each activity during extra time is debatable. In my opinion, young people should choose sensibly on type of activity and time spent to get most benefits out of their free time.

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is free time of young people. Some people believe that children make their leisure time very useful in modern life. However,a majority of people hold the opinion that youngsters wasted their free time on watching TV and playing game.I do strongly support the idea that leisure time are used rubbishy. There are many reasons that can verify this.

Perhaps this is because of the simple fact that modern life are ”poisoning” children. Childhood creativity is being stifled by a combination of junk food, school targets and mass marketing, a group of authors and academics has claimed that. Therefore, they have not so many spare time, they do not know how to control their leisure time also find out an activity more attractive than being “couch potato” to watch TV and playing games all day.Children spend little time with their parents - and much more time watching television than reading books, says a survey of London primary school-age children. There is no doubt that TV Programmes and video games are very actractive with young people. They can stay at home all day and taking part in many adventure trip even image that they are paying a role in that programme and seems to forget everything truly around them.Furthermore, many violence games appear on the internet, those can harm youngsters’awareness in life and their behavior changed different leading to more and more young people become crime.

Another reason why I advocate the attitude is that taking a lot of time on TV screen can bring serious health problems. It makes brain activity slow down as a research has shown that when you are watching TV, your higher brain regions shut down, and activities shift to the lower brain regions. Your lower brain is set in a “fight or flight” response mode. In the long run, your higher brain regions experience atrophy due to lack of usage. There have been studies that TV viewing among children leads to lower attention and poorer brain development. It also a reason for heart attacks, palpitation, depression, anxiety, etc…

There has big question are asked what young people do to replace TV and Games? It is not difficult to find out many alternative activities as:exercising, catching up with friends and family, reading book, organizing work and study and do manything outside which they are interest….All those activities have good for them in their free time. They make children more creative, bringing up their soul and become good citizens in future.

From what has been discussed above, I think the correct attitude is that government of all countries and parents have to concern about environment life of their own children in order to help them use effective leisure time rather than being “couch potato”

<FONT class=imageattach color=#006400 size=3 face=[/IMG]

Along with the development of soceity, young people nowaday have more various types of entertainment after working or studying. Wether they spend their spare time in a good way or not arouses controvesy. Many people believe that adolescents today just keen on harmful methods of relaxing. From my own perspective, young people nowaday use their leisure time in such a good way.

First of all, it is the fact that young people today pay more attention to many good ways of entertainment such as sports and arts. There are a lot of sports that attract them to take part in, namely football, swimming and body training. Although these types of sports are regarded as tra***ional physical activities, they are still very popular in most community of young people. It is probably due to the fact that playing sports not only helps to release stress but also offers an opportunities of socialzing with other people. Therefore, after school time, football fields in the parks, swimming pools and gym clubs are always full of young people. Besides, many forms of arts are also goods way that the youth use to relax, for instance, music and movies. It can not be denied that many young people are enthusiastic about several kinds of music and they really love to attend music liveshows. Going to the cinema for new, hottest movies is also common with most teenagers. Forms of arts as entertainment in spare time is absolutely good, because it enhances artistic sense and encourages creation of young people.

Secondly, it is quite unfair to say that the youth spend too much time with television and video games, instead of other beneficial activities. If young people are really bad at spending spare time, so what is the right way to use it? In fact, the true purpose of leisure time is to take a rest, to relax, so that people should have the right to choose their own method to feel comfortable. Moreover, watching television and playing video games are not totally waste of time or harmful, actually. As one of the most important inventions of the modern age, television is undoubtedly useful in providing daily news, knowledge that keep young people updating with social life. Ad***ionally, playing video games, regardless some violent factors is also a method of training concentration and encourage determination of the youth. For this reason, there is an acceptable level of time that can be used for these types of entertainment which the youth should consider to arrange, in order to keep their mind balanced.

A sizable percentage of people might argue that there is a rapid increase in the number of young people who spend most of their leisure time watching television and playing video games, which results in many negative effects both physically and mentally. This seems to make sense, however, there is no denying that everything has more than one face and this issue is no exception. Although several adolescents waste their time with harmful kinds of entertainment due to the lack of education, most of young people nowaday are becoming more and more aware of selecting the beneficial activities. Further more, young people, with not much experience, sometimes can not really spend their leisure time efficiently, however, the older can help them to arrange and suggest more useful ways instead of criticizing them.

From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that the youth nowaday are on the right track of spending their spare time, with man types of positive activities. Watching TV and playing video games are also acceptable even useful, if they spend a reasonable level of time and select the educational ones. Young people will obviously use the spare time in a efficient way, if they are supported by the older people.

Topic: Do young people today make good use of their time? Or do they spend too much time watching television and playing video games instead of taking part in more productive activities?
Along with the rapid development of the society, remarkable changes have taken place in how young people spend their spare time. There are many ways to fill leisure time intelligently. Some of young people like playing sport or reading while others choose playing games or watching television.
First of all, watching television and playing video games are not bad; if you arrange your timetable in a reasonable manner they even have positive impacts as reducing stress or entertaining. However, the problem is that the young waste too much time on non-productive activities. They only stay at home and use their computers or televisions and sometimes they forget to eat. Day by day, they could become addicted to games. Young gamers have shown similar symptoms to people who have drug or alcohol dependence – an inability to stop playing. In ad***ion, this is supported by some reports that lack of outdoor activities eases their communicative abilities and social relations. Television and video games shouldn’t have to be taboo but they also should not run your lives.
On the other hand, it is true that some young people enjoy take part in productive activities which have positive results in term of social, physical and educational values such as walking, yoga, swimming. Incorporating active leisure into live not only greatly benefits the young on maintaining health and keeping fitness but also help them make more new friends and expand their knowledge. Furthermore, spending time with family, relatives and friends outdoor enriches their social lives. As a result, they would be more interactive and responsible socially.
In conclusion, nowadays, younger generation has greater choices of leisure facilities than previous one, it is our job to arrange and choose sensibly on type of activity and time spent to get most benefits out of their free time.
