There is one PhD student position open in Wireless Communication Systems at the Department of Signals and Systems, Division of Communication Systems and Information Theory. The research at the division is focused on methods and algorithms for digital communication systems. We study systems such as the next generation wireless cellular communication systems, ad-hoc networks for communication and sensor networks with focus on traffic safety, fibre-optic communication systems, and ultra-wideband systems. The open position is within the area of next generation wireless cellular communication systems.
Job description
Significantly improved transmission capabilities of wireless cellular systems are required *****pport content-rich data oriented services in order to connect people as well as machines to the information society, also when mobile. Research towards the next generation of wireless cellular systems, IMT-Advanced as defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), with excellent user experiences is a very important topic in the area of wireless communication systems. Key requirements of future radio access technologies are *****pport cost efficient and scalable systems with high capacity and support for flexible deployment scenarios, while at the same time maintaining a high user satisfaction. This research and development is ongoing in a globally competitive environment. Technology candidate proposals for IMT Advanced are expected from Europe, IEEE, China, Japan, and Korea.
The open PhD student position is targeted for research in the above described area, with the following main research topics:
* Multi-user multiple-antenna (MIMO) resource scheduling in relay enhanced cells
* Macro-diversity based transmission for cellular unicast and multicast
* Micro-mobility schemes for cooperating distributed multiple antenna systems.
* Cross-layer design, especially between the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer and the Physical (PHY) layer.
The open position is with the Communication Systems Group at the Department of Signals and Systems, and partial funding for the open position comes from two projects at the division: WINNER+ and IMT-Advanced Mobility. The Communications Systems Group offers you great opportunities for personal development in a creative research environment with challenging research problems. We have a large international network of contacts, including distinguished researchers from both academia and industry. You will have great freedom in choosing research topics within the scope of the projects. Also included in your work is to teach undergraduate students. You will also attend international conferences and meetings, especially WINNER+ and IMT-Advanced Mobility workshops, where you will present your own work and establish useful contacts with other researchers. Within the IMT-Advanced Mobility project you will also have the opportunity for a longer stay in Beijing, China. When you have worked in this area for some years, you will be in great demand from Swedish as well as international industry, and you will have a very good basis for further academic research on wireless communication systems as well.
Qualifications
You should have a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similar, with a focus on digital communications or signal processing, and high grades in the core courses. You should have an interest in wireless communication systems and some experience in this field is advantageous. An interest in interdisciplinary system oriented research in an international context is essential, as are skills in mathematical analysis. You should be fluent in English, have good collaboration skills, and be able to communicate your results in writing and in presentations. Teaching qualifications are also a plus. The position is for a period of maximum five years. Up to 20% of this time will be used for undergraduate teaching and other departmental work, and the remaining part is spent on completing the research and courses required for a Ph.D. degree. A monthly salary is paid. The position commences during January, 2009.

Bên đó không công nhận bằng cao đẳng, nên chắc chỉ đưa bằng cấp 3 ra để học đại học thôi. Về lý thuyết thì có bằng cấp 3/ đại học là nó sẽ xét hồ sơ, nhưng điểm cao sẽ có nhiều cơ hội được nhận vào hơn. Chị muốn tìm thông tin về trường thì tốt nhất phải tự tìm trên web của các trường để xem yêu cầu của trường/của chương trình học thế nào. Tiếng Anh thường là 6.0 cho Master và 6.0 hoặc 5.5 cho đại học.

Bạn vào website của từng trường sẽ có mục undergraduate, nhưng những khoá học bằng tiếng Anh sẽ rất ít so với các khoá tiếng Anh của Master. Bạn phải chịu khó mất thời gian chọn lọc, rồi liệt kê ra 1 file excel chẳng hạn. Ví dụ trường Blekinge chỉ offer 2 khoá đại học:

Bạn cũng chú ý trường hợp của bạn là bằng báo chí nhưng apply quản trị kinh doanh, mình cũng đang rất đau đầu về vụ bằng của mình là Điện tử viễn thông nhưng apply CS, vì không đủ học trình yêu cầu về môn chuyên ngành ở Entrance Requirement của khoá học. Bạn nên nghiên cứu kỹ các khoá học trước khi quyết định apply. Đó là lý do mình khuyên bạn nên tự tìm hiểu lấy, vì không ai hiểu bạn bằng chính bạn

Có lẽ bạn chỉ nộp app để cho biết thôi, chứ khả năng xin được học bỗng là mong manh đấy ! Cũng đừng hy vọng gì nhiều vì điểm trung bình quá thấp.
