I have been witnessing this long-term problem for more than 2 years... So, I comprehend the situation which she has got stuck in. I think there are some solutions for improving her skills, which I have been trying until now. For Speaking, certainly it''''''''s perfect if she can talk to foreigners, but my idea is try to speak to herself confidently first - doing this is the way of practising pronunciaion, overviewing new words, gaining her habit of speaking and confidence when speaking... For Writing, try to send Eng. mes to her friends, or make up an English diary or blog. For reading and listening, I don''''''''t have any further suggestion... Hope that these work on her as well... Reading English newspapers, listening to BBC news, or watching Friends are all good methods to improve English, IF her skill is at an adequate level, meaning she can understand at least 50% of the information. If she barely understands the news, or there are many words she does not know, then she should try to find something easier. I recommend the Discovery Channel or Animal Planet with sub-title. These TV shows target on children and students so they use more simple language.
For your niece''s case, I guess I know it better than anyone else. I''m myself a very shy and unsociable person. This introverted personality constrains the advance of my English skill. Fortunately, I spent 2 years living with 7 other Americans while I studied in the university. This is when my English skill improved significantly. So the answer is obvious: the more often you spend time using English, the faster your skill will develop. It is easy say than done, since it is very difficult for introverted people to socialize. Please ask her to join SEC, where she can meet and shares ideas with people like her. If she wants to improve her speaking skill, she can talk to Mr Richard. He''s an American so he speaks perfect English. He''s also very very nice.

WORD OF THE DAY
Building a good vocabulary knowledge is very important in learning a language. By having a rich vocabulary, you can express your ideas more effectively and professionally. One way to improve this skill is using the new words you learned as much as possible.
To help you enrich your vocabulary, everyday we will post one good word randomly chosen on the front page. Your task is to create a sentence that includes that word. We will select the best sentence and post it on the front page on the following day. At the end of the month, we will create a really cool online multiple-choice quiz to test how well you memorize and use these words.

Mình đang luyện tập viết tiếng Anh, rất mong các bạn chỉ ra những lỗi sai trong bài viết này để cùng nhau giúp đỡ học tiếng Anh được tốt hơn, mình rất vui khi nhận được các góp ý của các bạn. THÚ ĐI XÍCH LÔ
Nếu đến Hà Nội hoặc thành phố Hồ Chí Minh mà không một lần đi xích lô là bạn đã bỏ qua một thú vui không thể gặp ở các nơi khác.
Ở Hà nội, xích lô xuất hiện vào khoảng đầu những năm 30 của thế kỷ. Đó là phương tiện giao thông thô sơ dùng sức người.
Xe xích lô được bố trí với dụng ý tôn kính người khách vì vị trí của người đạp xe ở phía sau.
Đi xích lô bạn không phải khó chịu vì tư thế ngồi đôi lúc vất vả của người đạp xe và không bị chắn tầm nhìn phía trước.
Chiếc xích lô, một phương tiện đi lại thô sơ, sẽ đem lại cho bạn nhiều điều thú vị (3). Những ai chưa đi xích lô lần nào, hãy đi thử một lần mới hiểu được cái thú vị của nó.

CHÙA THIÊN MỤ
Chùa Thiên Mụ là một trong những chùa đẹp nhất, có từ thế kỉ 17, cách xa thành phố Huế khoảng 5 kilomét. Chùa Thiên Mụ là một tu viện cổ kính nhất ở thành phố Huế.
Ngồi chùa bảy bậc được xây vào năm 1844 này nằm soi bóng xuống dòng sông Hương êm đềm.
Ngôi chùa này cùng với các công trình xây dựng chung quanh nó trở thành một trong những đài kỉ niệm lịch sử quan trọng của Huế.
Nằm khuất sau chùa Thiên Mụ là một ngôi chùa nhỏ. Các thầy tu mộ đạo, tự trồng trọt, lo thức ăn cho mình và sống một cuộc sống hết sức đạm bạc.
Thời gian tốt nhất để đến thăm ngôi chùa này là khi mặt trời ngả về đằng tây, tỏa chiếu xuống những tia nắng vàng rực rỡ và mặt nước sông bắt đầu lấp lánh.
Những chiếc thuyền nan có mái che hình vòm tròn lác đác trên sông càng làm cho khung cảnh đó thêm đẹp. Những du khách may mắn đến thăm đúng lúc các vị sư trong chùa đang thực hiện nghi lễ buổi tối, để nghe tiếng họ tụng kinh rì rầm, giọng nói trong trẻo của họ từ trong ngôi đền tối mờ mờ vọng ra.
THIEN MU PAGODA
Thien Mu pagoda is one of the best pagodas, was built in the seventeen century, is far from Hue about five kilometers. Thien Mu pagoda is a best antique monastery in Hue City.
The seven-layer roof pagoda was built in eighteen forty four reflect on serene Perfume River.
This pagoda with construction sites around it become one of important historical monument in Hue.
Be hidden behind Thien Mu pagoda is a small temple. Religious monks grow by themselves, take care of their food and lead a spartan life.
The best time to visit this pagoda is until sunset, shine bright golden sun rays down and the surface of river begins glitter.
Woven-roof sampans are scatter on the river make that landscape more picturesque. Tourists is lucky when they visit monks who is doing evening ceremony, heard their prayers softly, their clearly voice from into dim temple resound.

BÃI BIỂN NHA TRANG
Nha Trang ngày càng được nhiều người biết đến chủ yếu nhờ những bãi biển đẹp, những món ăn từ đồ biển hấp dẫn. Có thể là một trong những bãi biển đẹp nhất Việt Nam.
Bãi biển rợp bóng phi lao nhộn nhịp hầu như suốt ngày đêm. Bình minh lên chứng kiến những người chạy bộ.
Muộn hơn một chút, đến lượt những người đi nghỉ mát ra bãi biển, thả mình trong những chiếc ghế bố dưới ánh nắng mặt trời chói chang.
Chiều tối, đám học trò tan học ùa ra thả diều hoặc chơi đùa dọc theo bãi biển cho đến lúc chiều tắt nắng mới chịu ra về.
Tối đến, các quán ăn mới mọc lên đông đúc, tấp nập người đến ăn. Và về khuya, những cặp tình nhân đưa nhau ra ngồi chuyện trò trên các ghế dưới hàng phi lao.
NHA TRANG BEACH
Nha Trang is more and more known mainly owing to beautiful beaches, attritive sea foods. Maybe it is most beautiful beach in Vietnam.
Casuarina-lined beach is exciting day and night. At daybreak, we can witness joggers.
Later a bit, in vacationers?Ts turn go to the beach, relaxing on the deck-chair under the bright sunlight.
In the afternoon, bunches of student dismiss, rush out to fly skite or play along the beach until in the twilight, accept to go home.
In the evening, food stall are grown dense, crowded with the dinners. Late at night, couples of lover take each others out to chat on the benches below the casuarina.

THIEN MU PAGODA
Thien Mu pagoda is one of the prettiest pagodas, which has been existing from the 17th century and is about five kilometers from Hue City. Thien Mu pagoda is the most ancient monastery in Hue city.
