    AUN-GIST Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Korea offers 2008 AUN-GIST (Gwangju Institute of Technology, Korea) Scholarship on Science and Technology. This scholarships are available to ASEAN students to study masteral (4 slots) and doctoral (6 slots) degrees in science and technology in Gwangju, Korea. The AUN-GIST scholarship covers tuition fee, airfare, accommodation and living allowance.

    * Information and Mechatronics
    * Material Science and Engineering
    * Environmental Science and Engineering
    * Life Science
    * Photon Science and Technology

    Eligibility:

    * Citizen of an ASEAN member country
    * Posses a Bachelor?Ts degree (for M.S. Applicants) and M.S. degree (for Ph.D. applicants)
    * Good academic record
    * Have a minimum score of 550 (213 CBT) in TOEFL or 6.5 in IELTS, or 750 in TOEIC or 680 in TEPS.
    * Have good medical record

    Application Documens to be Submitted:

    * Application form
    * Two sealed letters of recommendation; one of which must be from the Dean of the Department he has attended
    * Official diploma in English
    * Original undergraduate/graduate transcript of record certified by the University Registrar
    * Official TOEFL or IELTS score report taken not more than two years
    * Resume or curriculum vitae
    * MA thesis (for those applying for Ph.D.)
    * Two photographs (4-5 cm)

    Mình đang học ở đây nên có thể trả lời cái này được.
    School of Information and Mechatronics bao gồm 2 khoa:
    Department of Information and Communiciations: liên quan tới các ngành về cả điện tử viễn thông và công nghệ thông tin
    Department of Mechatronics: liên quan tới cả điện tử và cơ khí.

    Ở GIST hiện có hơn 20 sv việt nam đang học M.s và Ph.D

    Thêm 1 cái nữa: ở đây tòan bộ các môn học là bằng tiếng Anh. Sinh viên quốc tế theo học tại School of Information and Communications sẽ có cơ hội rất lớn nhận thêm được học bổng IT của chính fủ Hàn (tất cả SV VN đang học tại school này đều nhận được học bổng IT - khá nhiều tiền)

    có một lợi ích khi sang Hàn là rèn luyện bản thân, giúp mình có bản lĩnh hơn so với đi các nước khác (đó là nhận định cá nhân)

    Internship Program for 2008
    August 29, 2008 õ?" November 25, 2008
    The Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea, is planning to host an International Internship Program on Science and Technology from 2008.
    The primary objective of the International Internship Program is to carry out research and provide training related to science and technology.
    CISS has worked to organize an International Internship Program once a year, offering students from various countries the opportunity to participate in a 3 month training course at GIST. This year, we are seeking up to 20 intern students for the upcoming Fall semester (August 29, 2008 õ?" November 25, 2008).
    The International Internship Program is designed to provide knowledge and skills related to science and technology in the areas of Life Science, Mechatronics, Information and Communications, Materials Science, Environmental Science, and Photonics.
    Details:
    Participants of the Program will be assigned to a department laboratory and receive their research training and coursework under the supervision of the professor in charge of the laboratory.
    Information regarding department labs and courses offered can be obtained from the GIST website (www.gist.ac.kr). Applicants should choose participating laboratories of interest and fill in the application form in order of priority.
    Participants who successfully complete the Program will receive a Certificate of Completion.
    The Program record of each participant will be available for evaluation if he/she wishes to enter an M.S. or Ph.D. program at GIST in the future.
    Support for the participants:
    õ? One-way airfare (economy class).
    õ? Dormitory accommodation (two persons per room).
    õ? Stipend of 400,000 Korean Won (approximately $400) per month to cover dormitory rent (30,000 Korean Won) & living costs.
    õ? Medical insurance during the Program period
    Visa status:
    Please remember that you should obtain a C-3 visa when applying for a Korean visa.

    June 16, 2008 Final decision and notification of successful application
    August 29, 2008 Arrival of participants to GIST
    September 1, 2008 Opening Ceremony (Start of semester)
