PART 1

I have a nuclear family. There are my parents, my younger brother and me.

My family consists of 3 people. My father is a policeman. My mother whom I take pride in, is an excellent teacher. Currently, my younger brother is a student. He is going to graduate from university next year, and Iam an officer.
õ? How much time do you manage to spend with members of your family?
I always spend my time after work for my family. We sit together in the living room talking or watching television for about an hour.
õ? What sorts of things do you like to do together?
I like it best when spending time with my brother in our own rooms chatting and playing games with each other. Besides, it is always such wonderful time eating out with our parents at the weekend.
õ? Did/ Do you get on well with your family?
My family is a happy one. We love each other very much and expect to live together under the same roof forever.

Of all the lecturers at school, I like Mr. Long best. He is my teacher of English in the 12th grade.
He is a fifty õ?" year old man of medium stature and good personality. Having much experienced and ability in his profession, he has performed his teaching job very successfully. His lectures were always lively and easy to understand. He also has great affection for his students. He often gave us valuable assistance and advice on our studies and behaviour. Although he was kind and open õ?" minded, Mr. Long was sometimes very serve with lazy and disobedient students. Under his teaching, we made good progress in our studies.
Mr. Long is admired and loved by his colleagues and students. He has such an influence on me as he is really a shining example to all of us.

õ? Tell me about the most important festival in your country.
Tet Nguyen Dan (The Lunar Year) has become so familiar, so sacred to the Vietnamese that when Spring arrives, the Vietnamese, wherever we may be, are all thrilled and excited with the advent of Tet, and we feel an immense nostalgia, wishing to come back to our homeland for a family reunion and a taste of the particular flavours of the Vietnamese festivities.
õ? What special food and activities are connected with this festival?
Eating is important on the new year holidays.On the last day of the old year, the preparation of food to offer to the ancestors is of special significance. Dishes to offer to the ancestors differ in the Northern, Central and Southern parts of the country, depending on our respective weather con***ions at the time and on different local agricultural products available. What is common in all regions of the country during Tet holidays are the varieties of soups, and fried, boiled, and stewed dishes. In the North, the menu for the Tet banquet includes pig trotters stewed with dried bamboo shoots, boiled chicken, carp cooked in salted sauce, jellied meat, and kohlrabi, cauliflower or onion fried with pig skin or lean pork. Thus, the menu includes meat, fish and vegetables. In ad***ion, there are two other items that can not be missed: Banh chung (square cake made of glutinous rice, pork and green beans wrapped in the dong leaves and boiled) and pickled onions. As one eats much meat during Tet, one should eat some sour pickled onions to facilitate digestion.
õ? What do you most enjoy about it?
The Giao Thua is the most sacred point of time, the passage from the old to the new year. It is popularly believed that in Heaven there are twelve Highnesses in charge of monitoring and controlling the affairs on earth, each of them taking charge of one year. The giao thua is the moment of seeing off the old chieftain upon the conclusion of his term and welcoming in the new one upon his assumption of office. For this reason, every home makes offerings in the open air to pray for a good new year.
After the giao thua is the start of the new year with many customs and practices, amusements and entertainment, all of a distinct Vietnamese folk culture.
õ? Do you think festivals are important for a country? Why?
All the festivals that we celebrate have some profound meaning in it and they have some pragmatic purpose also. There are some other purposes also that a festival serves and usually you will find that people meet each other along with their families and thus improve their social life.

Some years ago, when we were dating with each other, my husband and I went to August Theatre to see an old American film, whose name was õ?oLove Storyõ?. We liked this film because of its interesting plot, and because we could see our favorite movie stars in it.
When we arrived, the theatre was crowded with people. We bought our tickets and entered the hall just in time for the film. It was about 2 young lovers, who were wonderfully happy together, but in the end destiny led them to a tragic death.
All the spectators felt sorry for them. Some even wept for their misfotune when the film came to the end. The story of their sufferings also moved me deeply. Moreover, I was most impressed by the clear pictures, the good music and especially the excellent performances of the actors and actresses.
õ?oLove Storyõ? is really one of the best films I have ever seen.

Mình vừa mail cho bạn về nội dung lớp học, bạn check nhé. Từ thứ 2 - thứ 6 mình thường dạy vào buổi tối, nên bạn đến đúng 5pm hoặc đúng 7pm là lúc mình đang free trước giờ dạy là tốt nhất.
