    - Patti: It wouldn?Tt matter to me, but it might matter to my husband. It shouldn?Tt matter, but human nature being what it is, it probably would.
    - Eric: I would feel like a failure, my wife earned more than I did. It?Ts a man?Ts job to earn a living, and a woman?Ts place is in the home.
    - Lee: It would worry me. I?Tve no love to couples where the woman is the main bread-winner, and I think as fine so long with ? join what they?Tre doing. In fact, you would be really good? wife feels earning a fortune. But actually I?Tll probably not regret married.
    b. If you were given $1000 to save, spend or invest in just one day, what would you do with it?
    - Patti: Hm? The sensible thing to do with is to save it for a rainy day or help my over job. But I think I?Tll draw the splashed out on a family holiday. We need it.
    - Eric: You know what. I think I?Tm a bit tempted to get a new computer, because I spend quite a bit of my time on the internet, and my computer is getting a bit slow. Yes, a new computer, that?Ts all I?Td spend $1000 on.
    - Lee: Well, I said it wasn?Tt saved or invested. I?Tll probably blow it to a new sterio system and some massive speakers.

    # Armando?Ts typewriter: It used to be my father?Ts, and I learnt to write on it. Now it?Ts a museum-piece. My father thought I might become a musician. He? Daniel Alomia Robles, the famous Peruvian composer and story teller who created El Condor Pasa. He gave it to me when he realized that I wasn?Tt going to follow him into music. I valued it greatly. I mean the expression like sound, technology and cinema topography. But when I write, I don?Tt need anything else. When I lived alone in Peruvian jungle for ten years, I took it with me. And I think that was the period when I wrote more than I did any other of time in my life.
    # Katie?Ts wedding ring: My mother gave it to me, brother and to one of my two sisters. Maybe because she realized that I was at least likely to get one of my own. I don?Tt wear it because I?Tm afraid of losing it. I keep it on my bedside table. I see it when I wake up every morning. It?Ts by far ? When I look at it, I remember my mum who is living in England.
    # Heather?Ts neck-warmer: This is my most valuable possession because it saved my life when I got an avalanche in ? Chica mount range. It has been snowing for four days and the temperature rose that morning. Perfect avalanche con***ions. When the first person of our group of snow border left up the corners, the rest of us decided to follow his tracks. No? sing, no heart turns, so it?Ts not to disturb the snow. When I was at my turn, I made it down the first peg safely and thought I was out of danger, but the person behind me started before I was in the safe distance, and nervously made a hard right turn. I heard a large crack and then wham! The snow hit me really fast in the back of the neck. I pushed my neck-warmer over my face which kept a snow out of my mouth and nose. I ? to breathe as the avalanche woke me up. I began ? with swimming and try to stay where and which way was up. When the snow finally settled, I have managed to get part of my gloves up through the surface. They took the other a few minutes to find me, but I knew they would. Luckily, my neck-warmer ?those few minutes.
    # Mike?Ts mobile phone: I like sense of its ? This is the thing I least ? to lose. It?Ts not because of its ? it?Ts reckoned an expensive one because it?Ts recording the email on the tape. But the ? thing is the default ? addresses and numbers of practically everybody are known. It contains the details of about 300 people.
