A question about the British Council Information Centre in Ho Chi Minh

Hi every one. The first thing I want to say is I'm back again.
Secondly, I would like to know whether you have visited the Information Centre? If you have, could you please tell me everything you know about that centre?

About the British Council : you can visit the information center if you have membership card. Contact the information center regularly to have information about how to get member card. If you are member of B.Council , you can visit there twice a week , you can read a lot of books abt Britain ( England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, and Wales ), watch so many movies with high quality of sound, listen to tapes, study by Multimedia, look for oversea-study information in Britain., etc.
Tha't a wonderful place for you to study English .At present , you don't have to pay member fee, but in the future, I'm not sure about it. So, quickly come there , Minh Duc !

Thanks for your reply, Di. I'll come there as soon as I can. But I heard that membership would cost 180.000. Could anyone know about this confirm it?

Hi, Minh Duc. I give you the announcement The BC sent to me. Of course the facilities and materials in the BC are mordern and update but I don??Tt like the opening times. Quite strict !!! Be quick, you just pay 150.000VND. For more information, contact Mr.Tuan, hê?Ts very helpful. (sorry for so late reply, but this may be useful for someone)

Dear Information centre member
Last month I wrote to you all explaining our new policy about moving to charging fees for information centre membership. After hearing some of your reactions to this letter it seems that members are broadly in agreement that it is a good idea to charge a fee for using our modern facilities and for investing in the future.
After a lot of research and discussions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City we have decided to set the annual membership fee at VND 180,000. This fee applies to all members whether you are a student or have a job. With this in mind we have decided to lift all restrictions on times members can use the centre. We will be offering one type of membership only ??" one year full membership.
As a special offer to existing members we are discounting the first year annual membership to VND 150,000 if you pay it before 30 September 2002.
With these fees we will be able to provide constant internet access, upgrade and increase our equipment, including more computers and TVs, upgrade our video players to DVDs, and introduce a new magnetic membership card security system. We will also order more stock including new British magazines and English language learning materials.
If you would like to buy a new one year membership valid from 1 October 2002 please ask one of the Information Centre staff for a new application form and return it with two passport photos. We will be able to accept your fee in Vietnam Dong from 10 September.
Of course access to the information centre remains free to anyone who needs information about study in the UK and who wishes to make an education enquiry. If you have any questions about the membership fee please contact me or ask one of our Information Centre staff.

Paying only 150,000 is the new announcement, em_be? I had to pay 180,000 for a membership card just 2 weeks ago! I wonder if they would give back to me 30,000
