    FLORENCE, Nov 18 (ZoomSoccer) - In a late meeting Friday night Fiorentina was economically saved by no other than Italian president Silvio Berlusconi.




    It is Berlusconi's own TV-company "Medusa" who has injected Ê12 million into the bankrupt club. Ê6 million now - for wages and cre***ors - and a further Ê6 million in the month of January.




    However, the miracle rescue of Fiorentina is most likely a pure investment by Medusa. It is expected that the Florence club will be put up for sale in January 2002 - when the club is on the right economical course again.
