PART C1 - BULK EARTHWORKS
C1.2 SCOPE OF WORK
C1.2.1 Specified in this Section

The work specified in this section includes but is not
necessarily limited to the following:-
(a) Clearing & Demolition Work
(b) General Excavation
(c) Area Filling and Compaction
(d) Testing of Compaction
(e) Reinstatement Work
all complete as shown on the drawings and specified.
C1.2.2 General
(i) The Contractor shall visit and examine the site and ascertain the nature, amount, and con***ion of the materials to be removed. He shall consider the amount of working space available on the site, types of equipment suitable for the work, and the availability of off site dumps or storage space.
(ii) The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all required permits, fees, bonds and/or escrows before starting the work, and shall present evidence of having done so if required by the Engineer.
(iii) The Contractor is to ensure that his work will not interfere with the flow of street traffic and, if necessary, obtain the assistance of traffic police to control the flow of traffic.
C1.3 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
CODES & STANDARDS
Except where otherwise specified, all materials and workmanship shall conform to the requirements of the latest e***ions of applicable standards of among others the Vietnam Technical Standards (TCVN series), the American Society for testing and Materials (ASTM) and the American Concrete Institution.
