The Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre (VNCPC) is currently looking for a
short term intern *****pport in the writing of a "Country Assessment
Report on Sustainable Product Design in Vietnam". More details on VNCPC,
the project, job description and requirements are available below.

Duration of the assignment: 4 weeks
Starting date: As soon as possible
Place of work: Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre, Hanoi University of
Technology.
Job description:
The successful candidate will assist the project manager in the
preparation of a "Country Assessment Report on Sustainable Product
Design in Vietnam, Cambodia and Lao PDR".
His/her tasks will mainly consist in the collection of information on
economic, environmental and social situation in Vietnam, product design
capabilities and other related topics, and in the drafting of specific
sections of the report, in close cooperation with the project manager.
The country assessment will include:
? An analysis of sustainability issues (including environmental and
social) of Vietnamese, Cambodian and Lao products exported to the
European market in selected priority sectors.
? A regional and global review of existing best practices (case studies
and relevant actors) in the field of product-related CP techniques that
can address the challenges identified above. Special emphasis will be
placed on existing European resources.
? A review of the 3 countries capabilities in product development in
relevant sectors.
? A review of European market demand for more sustainable products and
potential of technology transfer and cooperation between European,
Vietnamese, Cambodian and Lao companies.
? The report will outline priority sustainability issues to be
addressed, corresponding industrial sectors and products to focus on in
the participating countries, and potential companies to be recruited in
Vietnam (including a gap analysis to be addressed in the capacity
building phase).
? An assessment of training needs of the three countries and European
business intermediaries.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will fulfill the following requirements:
- Background in economic or social field with good knowledge of the
industrial environment of Vietnam. Familiarity with technical and
environmental issues.
or
- Background in engineering or environmental science with good knowledge
of the industrial environment of Vietnam. Familiarity with
socio-economic issues.
- Good English language and drafting skills
- Good Vietnamese language skills
- Proficiency in the use of computer software including Word and Excel
- Ability to working both independently and in teams
- Good personal skills and discipline

One intern position needed for the CAP AI project
Background
Abt has been awarded a three-year project named "Capacity Building to
Prevent and Control Avian Influenza in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region (CAP
AI)" in July 2006, working in Viet Nam and Laos. The award was made by the
United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project
develops community level approaches to implement and build capacity for
communication, and animal and human health surveillance and response
activities for Avian Influenza (AI). Currently, the project moves into its
second year.
Abt Associates is a research and consulting firm which applies scientific
research and technical assistance expertise to a wide range of social,
economic, and technological policy issues; international development;
clinical trials and registries; and complex business problems. Founded in
1965, Abt Associates provides services to U.S. federal, state, and local
governments; foreign governments; international organizations; foundations;
and business and industry.
Job descriptions:
Abt Vietnam is now looking for Vietnamese national to work as an Intern for
CAP AI project. The successful candidate will assist and report to the
Public Health Specialist to do the following tasks but not limit to:
- Assist in revising and developing training curricula, guidelines for
community level health workers and animal health/vet workers in both Laos
and Vietnam (in collaboration with CARE Vietnam and Laos)
- Assist in updating and inputting every two month newsletters for
Hung Yen and other communication activities
- Prepare and search documents regarding *****rveillance and ILI case
management documents and other required documents.
- Assist in developing curriculum for training commune and district
health workers in volunteer network support and epidemic response activities
- Follow up activities in Animal Health
- Liaison with the staff of partner organizations, local authorities
and other agencies
- Assist other administration and office work as assigned
- Participate in other activities as required
Requirement
- Background in public health or animal health with strong skills of
epidemiology, infectious diseases and health communication (bachelor degree
or senior public health/animal health students).
- Good knowledge on Avian Influenza is preferable but not required
- Good English language skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software including Word and
Excel, Statistical software such as SPSS and Epidata
- Ability of working both independently and in groups
- Good personal skills and discipline
Duration: 60 days but possibly extended
Place of work: Hanoi

Trên đây là những thông tin về vacancies em muốn gửi tới những ai quan tâm đến mảng làm việc với bên NGO. Làm intern rất hay đấy, thu được nhiều kinh nghiệm, dưng mà lương có thể thấp. Tuy nhiên, một khi đã có kinh nghiệm làm ở NGO nào đó thì khi apply sang NGO khác bạn sẽ được highly appreciate. . Nhiều cơ hội khác đón chờ các bạn hơn.
Đi thi vào mấy chỗ đó cũng khá khoai. Theo kinh nghiệm của mình thì các bạn nên chuẩn bị sẵn tâm lý cho đủ loại hình thi. Interview cũng có thể bị nhiều người quay 1 lúc, sau đó họ cho có 45'' để làm test có thể là dịch hoặc GMAT, Word, Excel hoặc bất cứ thứ gì.
