TELL LIES OUTLINE




I. Warm-up: Games :

Each one writes 6 sentences into 1 given piece of paper about any thing he/she wants. Among those 6 sentences, there must be 4 true sentences and 2 fake ones.

After every one finishes writing, 5 volunteers will come up stage. MC picks out some writers to read their paper out loud. Volunteers are to guess which ones are true and which ones are not. Best guesser will be rewarded.

II. Free talk

In this section of the programme, participants will have the chance to talk freely over some given issues below:

1. Reasons that people tell lie

2. Should we tell lies? And When should we tell a lie?

3. Have you ever told lie? How did it work? Are you good at telling a lie?

4. How *****cceed in telling a lie?

5. How can we know someone is cheating on us?

6. Should we believe in what people say? How to protect us from being betrayed?

7. Some expression related to the topic.

III. Video:

MC will play a short movie relating to the topic, then let the others comment on it.

IV. Grouping:

In this part, GALEC will be divided into 4 small groups. Each one is to talk over its given situation:

1. A woman that you recently knew says eagerly to you “hey, look at my new hair. It’s beautiful, right?” at the back of your mind, you don’t like that hair-style at all, but can you tell her the truth? How will you say to her?

2. In an interview (for the job that you are crazy about it!), the interviewer asks whether you can do something (something that you have no idea about it: play the piano, speak Chinese… for instance ). you know for sure that if you say “NO”to him, he will say “NO” to your opportunity. What will you say?

3. In your birth day party, everyone has showed up, except your girlfriend/boyfriend. He/she calls you and says that her/his best friend got seriously injured in an accident so he/she has to stay with him in a hospital. You know that’s a lie because the friend has just called you right before her/his call to congratulate you. How can you say to her/him?

4. Your child broke the vase, and you were aware that break-down, but he said that he didn’t break the vase and suggested you punish the cat! This is not the fist time he has lain to you. How can you fix this situation?

In this section, GALEC will be divided into 4-5 groups. Each will discuss then choose 1 place to travel and appoint 1-2 representative(s) coming up on stage to Tell the others why they choose that place and how to prepare for that trip.

IV. Picture talks (if time is allowed)

The club is nice in all aspects except ventilation. It is really hard for many people to breath inside such a small room. Do the operation board have any solution?

that has very cozy atmosphere , hasn't it ? especially in winter
it's also very cool in summer with 2 air-con***ions .... hehe
actually , we have been organising exiting indoor & outdoor programs alternatively for changing atmosphere
We also doing one more Galec room in another area, so that don't worry 'bout too much
