Công Nghệ Nano ( Nanotechnology )

Nanotechnologies, an Austin, Texas-based manufacturer of custom nanoparticles, announced it closed its second round of funding after raising $6.3 million.
The second-round funding in Nanotechnologies came from venture capital firms Techxas Ventures, Castletop Capital, Convergent Investors VI, Harris & Harris Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:TINY) and Capital Conceptions. Harris & Harris announced that its investment in Nanotechnologies was $750,000.
Nanotechnologies was founded in 1999, and closed $4 million in Series A funding in April 2000. Dr. Denny Hamill, vice president of business development at Nanotechnologies, told NanotechPlanet that the company's proprietary pulse to plasma technology allows it to precisely manufacture nanoparticles for particle size, crystallinity and purity. "So what we end up is dry, precisely controlled particles that don't conglomerate," Hamill said.
Nanotechnologies' technology is also scalable, repeatable and allows high-volume manufacturing. The company has produced nanoparticles of alumina, aluminum, aluminum nitride, niobia, silver, titania and zirconia.
The new funding will allow Nanotechnologies to expand its marketing and sales initiatives and add more customers, Hamill said. The company has been working in several markets where its nanoparticles could improve upon the materials currently used, including optical coatings, electronics materials, semiconductor manufacturing and energetic materials.
In many of these areas, Hamill said, manufacturers have been using particles measured on the micron level. By using nanoparticles, they can further enhance the properties of their products. Nanoparticles can be used as a binder, for example, or to make films even thinner than those currently in use.
Nanotechnologies will also use the new funding to expand its manufacturing capabilities and materials research.

khè khè. bác post toàn tiếng tây tiếng tầu thế này thì em sao mà hiểu nổi. em có đọc được 1 bài viết về công nghệ nano này ở 1 tờ HHT cách đây khá lâu rồi. trong đó viết sơ sài hơn anh. nhưng em thấy anh nhắc đến những chú nanobots siêu nhỏ hơi ít . anh có thể post lên cho mọi người cùng đọc ko?
