Hey guy, what does "xao kho" mean? I searched Google and have: Phở xào khô, hủ tiếu xào khô, mì xào khô cung tiến...
get back to the point, I dont' say it means "hôn hít bình thường" (see wordings in brackets) but it means "hôn", definitely "hôn" (in general and literal meaning) but with actions showing affection

For an example given above, which word sounds better than "hôn"? It is just a sentene in a dialogue. No need to be formal or make it complicated/too specific.

This is my idea. Other opinions are welcome.

Xào khô là : frenching (hôn dùng lưỡi), rubbing, touching và groping. Nghĩa là sờ mó, rờ rẫm, hôn hít này nọ thôi. Danh từ / động từ này xưa lắm rồi, không biết giới trẻ bây giờ dùng chữ gì ?

Xào ướt là xxx.


Nếu mà dịch đúng nghĩa chữ make out thì xào khô là xát nghĩa nhất. Nếu dùng chữ hôn không thì sẽ bị hiểu lầm, vì chữ hôn rất nhẹ đối với make out.

XK là từ chỉ có miền Nam xài thôi, ngoài Bắc không hiểu là đúng, từ này vừa cổ điển vừa thông tục (hơi degrading chút xíu) chỉ nên dùng cho guy talk. Ví dụ không ai nói là hôm qua tui XK bạn gái cả, nhưng XK khi đi bia ôm thì OK.

Mình cho là dân Bắc sẽ dùng những từ như táy máy chân tay, nghich ngợm, đùa giỡn... để dịch

Make out phải được hiểu là bao gồm tất cả trừ perform intercourse và oral ***. Cần phải nói rõ như vậy để khỏi chết vì thiếu hiểu biết và chuẩn bị tâm lý (nhỡ khi gặp ai đấy bảo let's make out on the couch chẳng hạn)
