Do u believe in love at first sight??

I believe this is a hard question to answer because unless you've experienced it, you can't easily say whether or not it is possible.

This topic reminds me of a past experience.
I met Hải through Trí Tuệ Việt Nam (cũ) around 5 years ago. At first we chatted online, and then talked on phone. Finally, we met outside. And the first time I met him, I was struck. Tiếng sét ái tình, yes that's what it is. I remember he was sitting among many people, but I could see noone but him. My thought only revolved around him. Tôi ngồi ngây như tượng gỗ vậy
I used to think I loved him at first sight. But now I realize that's not true. Actually, we spent a long time talking, tâm sự before meeting outside. Sự thật là tôi yêu con người anh even before I met him.
Trước kia, nhiều khi tôi tự hỏi, "What's that in Hải that could attract me right at first sight?" Hải đàn ông, hấp dẫn, nhưng có rất nhiều người đàn ông như vậy, không chỉ riêng Hải. Bây giờ tôi mới hiểu, đó là bởi vì tôi đã nói chuyện, chia xẻ với anh một tg before we met.
So, my answer to your question "Do you believe in love at first sight":
I don't. I believe there is attraction at first sight. But it takes time to understand, and to love.

Love needs time to grow. But some people might meet someone and just know that they are meant to be together. They follow their gut_instinct. Do you think that it's is realistic or part of real life?

5plus1sense is quite right to say that there is attraction at first sight rather than love at first sight.
Well, in terms of psychology, everybody tends to form an image of his/her dream lover inside one's head. For example, for dream lover should be handsome or should possess some particular characters or behaviors. This process is normally very long, and most of the time, subliminal, that is not everyone can realize it. By the time you meet a person who incidently has some of the characters of your dreamlover's image, you will immediately fall in love with, or at least have a crush on him/her. You think to yourself that you must have known this person for a long time before you two meet each other. Well, it's true. You've been familiar with your ideal image which by accident resembles that of your newly-found lover. In short, you've fallen in love with the image rather than the person.
This kind of love, love at first sight, can be compared to a case in which a person is struck by a lightning in a stormy night. All of a sudden, you are struck dead not knowing the reason why or how you are the one chosen not any other. You might associate it with your fate or destiny. In fact, the cause of your death, it sounds terrible for cite this example, but anyway, might be the fact that you're carrying a piece of metal which attracted the lightning. As a result, you're dead.
Likewise, in the case of a love at first sight, you also think that you two have met each other in the previous life ( a kind of Vietnamese way to phrase) or "I know I loved you before I met you", but in fact you have prepared yourself for this love by creating your own image of your dream lover.
However, love at first sight, or I'd rather put it, attraction at first sight is just the very first step. Whether it will lead to anything at all depends on whether you two will find each other interesting enough to get along or not.
There are many things which can be said about love at first sight, unfortunately most are negative like short-lived, unsteady, I still believe it is a "magical" phenomena in the love world. Cause once in a million we can have our dreamlover come true.
