Aim
To pass TISUS (Test in Swedish for university and college studies)
Previous knowledge
Level B2+/C1-
Before the start of the course a placement test is taken to establish the level of the prospective course participants. Only those that are assessed as having prospects of passing TISUS are admitted to the course.
Length of course
Ca 60 lessons
The number of lessons may vary among the course locations and depends on the type of course that you have chosen (intensive course every day, evening course twice a week etc.)
Course literature
The course literature is chosen by the different organisers. Examples include:

The aim of the course
is to pass TISUS, which qualifies you for Swedish university and college studies.
Contents
You work with the various items included in TISUS (reading comprehension, genre writing and oral presentation). Great importance is placed on extending vocabulary.
Speaking:
You discuss current events and social issues.
Pronunciation:
Only practised when needed.
Reading:
You improve your reading speed by reading a large amount of text.
Reading strategies required to pass the test are practised.
Writing:
You write various types of text (reasoning, informing, analysing etc.) that may occur in TISUS. Great importance is placed on both text construction and correctness.

Ad***ional topics:
You work to broaden your vocabulary.
Grammar:
You revise grammar on the basis of the participantsõ?T needs.
Methodology
The participants do reading and writing exercises both at home and in class.

Homework
Reading texts, vocabulary, different types of written production, grammar exercises (if needed).
Estimated time: 3-4 hoursõ?T preparation for each class.
Progress evaluation
The teacher assesses the progress made during the course together with the course participants, by comparing for example what has been written most recently with previous written production and by continually measuring reading speed and reading comprehension.
International Summer Courses in Swedish as a Foreign Language
Summer courses are arranged by the Swedish Institute in co-operation with various Folk High Schools in Sweden. Participants are given a unique possibility to meet with a genuinely Swedish environment, in a quiet and provincial setting. The peaceful milieu facilitates the concentration on language studies.
Midsummer celebration at Birka Folk High School
The teaching normally takes place Monday-Friday. Usually five lessons per day are scheduled. Participants should count on having to devote several hours outside the class room to teamwork and individual studies. Compulsory activities are often arranged for Saturdays and Sundays.

Year Program
Course description
The Year Program focuses on preparing the student for a level of fluency needed for working life or for the TISUS test (Test in Swedish for University Studies) needed for admission to Swedish universities.
The year begins in mid - August with an intensive language and orientation program and continues with 4 courses of 60 lecture hours each ending in December. Instruction begins again in mid-January. Students take 4 courses of 60 lecture hours during spring, ending the first week of June.
Classes are taught 4-5 days/week with 3 classroom hours/day, either 0900-1130 OR 1300-1530. In ad***ion, students are expected to spend 4 hours/day on out of class work. Every course ends with a written exam.
Class size may vary according to class level. Minimum is set to 5 students, maximum to 18 students. All classes are held in the centre of Lund.

kimlien ơi, nikiwa nghe nói là mình phải đóng tiền học phí trước rồi họ sẽ gởi Letter of Acceptance sau cho mình làm visa nhưng không biết có đúng không nữa. Sau đó khi đậu bằng TISUS xong rồi thì phải apply vào National Agency để họ phân nhóm để còn cạnh tranh nhau mà vào đại học tuỳ theo bảng điểm của mình (toán, lý, hóa) nếu như học về Khoa học tự nhiên như nikiwa. Để em gởi địa chỉ này kimlien xem thử coi em hiểu đúng không nha vì khả năng English em chỉ có hạn thôi hihi vì chưa thi TOEFL mà.
