EGC- English Games Club. Why not?

For those who have been interested in it,

EGC is still a vision. After several attempt to contact and discuss with english clubs, I draw a conclusion: it is not the time for it yet.1. English clubs have a lot on their side for the agenda already. Also they are so responsible for their members about what happen in their clubs that it is not ok for them when being told [/IMG]



2. EGC is not about practice English, it is about having fun using it. I have been to YECTUU, GALEC, FCs only, so it is just my narrow-minded assumption: the majority of members can hardly enjoy themselves with EGC because the gap between where they are and where EGC games are.

It is the same like to place a beginner in front of TV showcasing "Two and a half man" series in original audio with English subtitle and excpect that person to laugh cracking belly up. And so EGC, with games like "Vocabulary Face-off", "Are you smater than a 5th grader?", is suitable for a few, handful ones. Bottom line is: no market for the product that just a few gonna buy.



Solutions?


Not a single one at the moment. I will only dig this topic up in the future when I come across one. Until then, bye.
