As a Swede, I'm rather familiar with Swedish manners and behaviors. My thoughts on French people are only based on a few French people that I happen to know... These are the differences I have noticed: * French people have a smaller "personal space". They stand closer to each other when interacting than Swedes do. * French people who know each other kiss on the cheek when they meet. Again, it may have to do with the personal space, but as a Swede I find this a bit uncomfortable almost. * French people use titles in people's names, Madame, Monsieur etc. In Sweden we don't do this. I would call people by their first name. Even in school, I'd call my teachers by their first name, which I believe is considered rude in France * French often drink wine with their dinner. In Sweden, alcohol with your dinner is not as common, although a beer is getting more common * French give a lot of eye contact. Swedes often avoid it (unintentionally) * It's more accepted to be a bit late in France. In Sweden it's a deadly sin * French when speaking are louder and use more gestures than Swedes. I find that Swedes use more facial expressions though in a weird way Hmm...that's what I can think of, but it's just my personal observations... Em chân thành cảm ơn ạ.
