Have you ever wished to study abroad? Are you planning to go to a foreign country to learn?
    Let''s try this topic:
    STUDY ABROAD- OUR FUTURE WAY?
I have prepared some questions for this topic as details:
    1. What is advantage and disadvantage to study abroad?
    2. How to overcome difficulties in a foreign country?
    3. If you have chance to study abroad, where will you choose to learn?
I also search some information about studying abroad, please kindly find it for your reference.
    Should I Study Abroad?
Every year thousands and thousands of people leave the comforts of their homes to learn English in countries such as the United States, Canada, England, and Australia. Why do they do it? Many feel that by studying a language in a country where it is spoken, they will be able to learn it more quickly. Others feel that studying abroad gives them a kind of prestige in their home country. It may even lead to a better job. And quite a few people want to study abroad for the pure pleasure and excitement it brings.
But living and studying in another country can also have its problems. Almost everyone experiences some level of homesickness. And a few people go home earlier than expected because their ideas about living in another country were different from reality.
Is learning English abroad something you are interested in? Whether to learn a language by studying abroad is a big decision. You should be aware of what you are getting into before you start packing your bags.

    Disadvantages of Studying Abroad
Studying abroad does not mean you will learn English magically. Many people think that they just need to live in another country and they will learn the local language. This is not completely true. You still need to pay attention and study. There are people who live in foreign countries for many, many years without knowing the language well. However, it will probably come to you easier and faster than if you just studied the language in your home country.
Studying abroad can be hard. You will probably have times when you miss your family, friends, food, and everything familiar. Almost everyone goes through some culture shock. You will have to realize and accept that it will take some time to adjust to a new way of living.
Studying abroad can be expensive. There is no doubt that it takes money to study abroad. It can vary from kind of expensive to very expensive. Most places don''t allow international students to work. You will have to have the money before you arrive in the country or have someone from home support you. Is this something that you and/or your family can afford?

    Advantages of Studying Abroad
You are surrounded by English. Yes, you need to pay attention and do some studying, but everything comes faster when you do because English is everywhere- on the streets, in the stores, on the TV- you can''t get away from it.
Your eyes are opened to the world. We often grow up thinking that our way of doing things is the only way, or sometimes the best way. But living in a new cultures helps us realize new ways of doing things, and also helps us to see that even though we are different, we are all human. And in many cases, not only will you get to know the natives of the country you are visiting, you may get to know classmates from all over the world.
You learn to take care of yourself. Living in another country, even if it is with a host family, means you might be doing things you may not have done in your home country. These include cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, washing clothes, figuring out transportation, making living arrangements, setting up accounts for cell phones and utilities, etc. You may think of this as a disadvantage, but many international students go home proud that they have become very self sufficient.
Your life will be forever changed. One of the greatest things that happens when you do something as big as live in another country is- you become a changed person- your outlook on life is different. Your new maturity can help lead you to new places in your life.
You make memories that will last a lifetime. Your pictures, journals, and souvenirs will help you remember your time abroad, but your memories and emotions of this special time will also be a part of your life until you are very old.
Recently, more students choose to study abroad as they think that it is worth going. On the other hand, some think of it another way. Students may suffer from studying abroad as there are a number of disadvantages. The following paragraphs will explain why the students have these views and the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad will be discussed respectively.
Students studying abroad may suffer from racial discrimination. As they have left their home country, they will become the minority group of the new country. The majority group may take advantage of and try to bully them. It is common that the Americans or the British discriminate against people from other countries since they think that white people are better than the others. The Black and the Chinese will probably suffer from this.
In ad***ion, the students may lose their own culture. Since they have moved to a new place, all the things there, people, lifestyle and living environment would be different from their own country. As they will have close contact with local people and culture, they will be influenced by the new culture imperceptivity. It is ironical that a Chinese speaks better English than Chinese and forget what Chinese culture is after studying abroad for a few years.
On the contrary, studying abroad will widen the scope of the students. Although they may give up their own culture, they can really learn from the others. As students of the modern world, they should not limit their scope within the home country, but get exposure to the world. Studying abroad can help them expand their horizon and learn from the elite in the host country, as they will meet and make friends with people from all over the world. So, studying abroad is good for them.
Besides, the students will learn how to be mature and independent. Students in the home country usually rely on their parents, just like the Hong Kong students. Statistic shows that Hong Kong students usually rely heavily on their parents; they will just leave the problems alone and ask their parents to solve them. If they are studying abroad, they have to solve everything on their own; they should learn how to cope with any difficulties they will meet. As a result, study abroad brings benefit to them.
Furthermore, the education system from foreign country is better than Hong Kong. The Hong Kong education system is a spoon-feed one, the teachers will ask the student to recite a lot of things and then ask them to write it down. This cannot stimulate studentâ?Ts interest in their learning. The choice of subjects in school, especially in secondary school, is very narrow; the students cannot choose what hey want most. But the schools in Britain and America, students can enjoy from a wider range of choice of subjects from school, for example, media studies and corporate communications, are in the syllabus of schools in these two countries. If students choose to study abroad, they can learn more things under a better educational system.
All in all, study abroad will change and influence a student on the both sides. Although it is uncertain that what the effects would be, positive or negative, I support students should seize the opportunity of studying abroad because they will meet many new things and have new experience from the host country. If they are clever enough, I think they can find a balance between learning new culture and hold on their own one.
Many students find it difficult to adjust in a foreign country because they cannot understand different perceptions, tra***ions, or values in the host country. You might feel uncomfortable at the beginning in an environment so different from home. However, remember that adjustment takes time, patience, and understanding the people and the culture you are immersed in.
There are many particularities between countries around the world, so usually there isnâ?Tt a specific rule to go by. If you find yourself in difficulty, you could ask a stranger about local customs and social niceties. This wouldnâ?Tt create unpleasant situations in any country.

    Let try this topic :
Now the rate of abortion in VN is rising, this is the information that I read from Internet
    ABORTION IN VIETNAM
    (from AsiaNews)
In Ho Chi Minh City, hundreds of women go to state hospitals or "private rooms" to have abortions, many of them under the age of 18, and their number keeps growing.
"We went to see the consulting room of a hospital''s natal and pre-natal care unit to find the reasons that push young women to have an abortion," said a young Catholic social worker.
"When we arrived we saw that many of the women were young and from various social backgrounds," he said.
One woman was sitting alone, crying; another was telling her boyfriend that she was scared, the young man explained.
"There is no choice involved. Many of the young women have to do it because they cannot carry their pregnancy to term," he said. "They are 17 or 18 and have not yet finished high school. Many don''t want their families to know they are pregnant and so face the problem alone. Abortion has a serious impact on their health and psyche and can lead to social ills".
In Ho Chi Minh City, where many young women choose to have abortions, a doctor wrote to Thanh Nien online telling the story of a 13-year-old girl who was in her 10th week of pregnancy and on whom she performed an abortion.
She also related the story of a 19-year-old woman whose pregnancy was well-advanced. "She chose to end her pregnancy and the physicians performed the abortion using the "early birth" method. When she saw the dead baby, the young woman panicked. This was five years ago and she is still traumatised by the experience and doctors believe she''ll suffer from hysteria for the rest of her life."
For Dr Phuong, head of the hospital''s Family Planning Department, "in every abortion case, whether in early or late phases of pregnancy, women remain psychologically scared for a long time, sometimes for life."
"It is obvious, and this chilling, that the surgery has a finality to it; it causes death," she explained.
Vietnam currently has one of the highest levels of abortion in the world. Its best known hospital â?oHo Chi Minh City''s Tu Du Hospitalâ? reports some 33,000 abortions per year. And five per cent of those cases involve patients under the age of 18 in late phase of pregnancy.
Recently, hospitals in HaNoi, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh and Ho Chi Minh City surveyed some 1,800 women who had abortions. Their results indicate that 50 per cent suffered bacterial infections as post-abortion consequence, 47 per cent had abortions that were dangerous to their health, 11 per cent had abortions without pre-surgery care and 57 per cent did not receive post-surgery follow-up. Finally, 10 per cent experienced catastrophic consequences after the abortions.
According to experts, the main causes that induce women to have an abortion are the desire to have a life of pleasure, society''s moral crisis and consumerism.
    1. Why do women have abortions ?
    2. When, if ever, does an abortion become the right alternative (acceptable) ?
    3. What consequences that abortion left ?
    4. What methods for reducing the abortion rate ?
