English idioms - a good way to improve your discourse

We are Vietnamese. Sometime we want to express an idea but fail to do it in anyway . Why ? Limited vocabulary, Vietnamese style which makes a vague idea...
I think iidioms may help ! Here are some of them.
1. to keep a good heart bare to sb (thổ lộ tâm sự với ai)
2. to go to sb's heart (thấm vào tâm can)
3. to turn one's head (chóng mặt)
4. to lose one's head (mất bình tĩnh)
5. to bury oneself in one's books (vùi đầu vào sách vở)
6. to handle sb with kid gloves = to treat sb tactfully (đối xử tử tế với ai)
7. to live from hand to mouth = to live without any reserves (tay bo miệng lủm)
8. to figure on = to rely on (tin tưỏng)
9. to fall in to a trap (bị mắc lừa/bẩy)
10. to be in the cold = to live to oneself (sống cô độc)
11. to be left out in the cold (bị xa lánh)
12. to kill by inches (giết dần giết ,mòn)
13. to take one's own course (làm theo cách của mình)
14. to be busy as abee = to have one's hand full (rất bận)
15. to bundle sb out of the house ( tống cổ ai ra khỏi nhà)
16. to put sb through the hoop (làm cho ai đó phải sống khổ cực)
17. to mess sb up (làm hỏng kế hoạch của ai)
18. to draw a salary (nhận lương)
19. to be under an obligation to do sth (bị bắt buộc phải làm gì)
20. to be under obligations to sb (man ơn ai)
