Vietnam - Campuchia Dialogue, a HOMESTAY program
CAMPUCHIA -VIETNAM DIALOGUE.
Một chương trình giao lưu văn hóa giữa các bạn trẻ Việt Nam và Campuchia sẽ diễn ra từ ngày 22/2 -3/3/2007 .Họ sẽ đi thăm Trà Vinh , Mũi Né , Phan Thiết , Tp HCM.
Từ ngày 1/3 -3/3/2007 sẽ ở thành phố HCM và thăm quan thành phố trong 2 ngày đó .
Chương trình cụ thể :Chiều 1/3 : đón các bạn Campuchia ở Bến Xe về Home stay Tối 1/3 : thời gian này tuỳ các bạn quyết định sẽ làm gì Sáng 2/3 : bạn đưa bạn Campuchia sang Quận 1 tập trung cùng các bạn khác để tham gia "city tour" đến buổi chiều .( by bus )Tối 2/3 : bạn sẽ tham gia cùng với tụi mình 1 party với cả nhóm .Sau đó bạn sẽ lại đưa bạn Cam đó về "home stay " .Sang 3/3 : bạn đó sẽ quay về Campuchia , nên bạn sẽ đưa bạn đó ra trạm xe ròi Tp HCM
Trong thời gian đó các bạn Campuchia sẽ ở cùng với 1 gia đình người Việt Nam . Họ sẽ cùng sống với gia đình đó ... để hiểu hơn về văn hóa và con người Việt Nam .Thời gian này bạn có thể đưa các bạn ấy đi thăm quan thành phố , sinh hoạt cùng gia đình , ăn uống , mua sắm ... Vừa đi chơi , vừa giao lưu với nhau .
Bạn có muốn mình cũng sẽ đón một bạn về gia đình mình ở cùng không ??? Chương trình này mở rộng cho tất cả các bạn ... Nên mọi người đều có thể tham gia , bạn có thể giới thiệu cho bạn bè mình nữa .
Đây chính là một cơ hội cho chính các bạn .Bạn sẽ được trau dồi thêm về văn hóa , về vốn ngoại ngữ của mình .Vì các bạn ấy đều sử dụng Tiếng ANh . Họ đều là những sinh viên trẻ bên Campuchia như chúng ta, nên cũng rất dễ hòa đồng và dễ nói chuyện , mà toàn các bạn trai tài - gái sắc cả .... Bạn sẽ có thêm những người bạn mới.Khi các bạn tham gia thì các bạn cũng sẽ đựợc tham gia toàn chương trình ở Tp HCM với tất cả các bạn khác . Bạn sẽ được gặp gỡ với những người bạn khác ... Thật là tuyệt phải không ??? Còn chờ gì nữa .... Nhanh lên .Hãy đăng ký ngay đi nào !

TOUR GUIDE in need !!! ​

There will be 2 ladies, one from Slovenkia and one from Romania. They''re in the MBA scholarship of Samsung program ( very superb, ''coz one country just have 1 representative for this scholarship !!! ). They will come to HCMC and have a trip on Friday 23th 2007 - Lunar calendar: 7th Jan.
We will build up a tour around our city: some museums, historical and cultural places, ect. ( will let you know soon, ''coz I''m waiting for the feedback about their plan ).
So, I would like to invite our members to join in this activity as an interflow program. You can practise speaking English, even debating some economical affairs with them; in ad***ion , this is the intergrating period, so we, young generation, should know how to popularizing the Image of our city.
In general, I hope that you can join in this event... It just lasts in 1 day...

Where to go in HCMC during Tet ???

​

- Spring Flower Festival from February 12 to 23 at Tao Dan Park in District 1. It displays some 7,000 items including decorative plants, fish, potteries, butterflies with strange colorsõ?Ư Besides Vietnamese, the festival also draws the participation of artisans from South Korea, Thailand, Singapore... There is an entertainment area for children and a food area introducing dishes from Vietnamõ?Ts northern, central and southern regions.
- Spring Flower Markets takes place from February 10 to 16 at September 23, Gia Dinh and Le Van Tam parks and the Saigon South Urban Area in District 7.
- Nguyen Hue Flower Festival is organized by Saigontourist Holding Company. It stretches the entire Nguyen Hue Boulevard and part of Le Loi Boulevard (from the intersections of Le Loi with Pasteur and Dong Khoi streets).

The festival will open at 7 p.m. on February 15 and run until 10 p.m. February 19. Laser light will be projected from on the New Yearõ?Ts Eve (February 16).
The theme of the festival this year is õ?oon the way to integrationõ?. There will be different areas for showcasing Tet characteristics in Vietnam, in the southern region, the cityõ?Ts solidarity, activeness and renovation aspiration for development. The Uncle Ho Park in front of the HCM City Peopleõ?Ts Committee will showcase large and rare apricot blossom trees. Next is the area dubbed Theo Loi Di Cua Da (following the path of stones) for introducing the formation and development of Vietnam. This area will be decorated with flowers, stones, and funny symbols of the year of pig.
The area named õ?oHoa Cua Dat õ?" Xuan Cua Troiõ? (flowers of the land, spring of the sky) will introduce a lot of flowers, mainly from Central Highlands city of Dalat, and pottery products.
The Doan Ho Chuc Phuc (the good-luck pond) is the place for visitors to wish for luck and happiness by throwing coins into the pond. The money will be used to help disadvantaged people.
The Hanh Trinh Xuan (spring itinerary) area expresses the coming and return of spring by images like cart wheels, boats and bamboo bridges while the Khoanh Khac Xuan (the snapshot of spring) area expresses the meaning that space is no limit while time is restricted by four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter).
There will be areas displaying various types of pin wheels to remind people of the time and featuring the flower streetõ?Ts theme Tren Duong Hoi Nhap (on the way to integration).
The area on Le Loi Boulevard expresses the idea of Trong Xuan Va Le Hoi (spring drum and festival) and is the main section of the Banh Tet Festival on the second night of the lunar new year (February 18).
More than 100.000 vases of flowers will be used to make the flower street. There will be activities like flower arranging, music and circus performances, performance of bartendersõ?Ư
Members of Saigontourist will also organize windoor and door shows with diverse entertainment activities.

- Music performance to celebrate Tet and the establishment of the Vietnam Communist Party will take place every night from February 15 to 19 at the September 23 Park in downtown area. It is organized by the City Performance Company.
- Viet Fashion Night at 8 p.m. on February 15 at the stage in front of the Reunification Palace in District 1. More than 200 models will attend the event to introduce collections of over 20 leading fashion designers like Minh Hanh, Si Hoang and Vo Viet Chung that won local and international prizes in 2006.
- Television link õ?oHello Year 2007õ? will broadcast on HCM City Television in the evening of February 16. It introduces Tet customs and documentaries about Tet celebration of Vietnamese abroad. The program will be carried out in HCM City, Hanoi, Phu Tho and San Francisco.
- Banh Tet Festival : The Banh Tet (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes) Festival will take place on the night of February 18 on Le Loi Boulevard and be broadcast live on HTV. The World Guinness record-setting pair of banh tet will be taken from Dam Sen Park in District 11 where they are made to display at the festival. The park used 1.500 kilograms of sticky rice, 100 kilograms of pork and 350 kilograms of banana leaf to make the giant cakes, each weighs 3.5 tons, is 3.5 meters long and has a diameter of 3.5 m. At night, the park management will invite everyone to taste the cakes. There will be a march of flower vehicles, performances of folk and modern music during the festival.
- Performance of Kim Van Kieu drama at 7:30 p.m. on February 22 and 23. The venue is the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Tan Binh District. The drama is an experimental program of the Tran Huu Trang Theater with the participation of well-known performers and singers from past to present. Tickets cost VND500,000, 300,000 and 200,000.
- Hoa dang Festival will run at the Saigon Zoological and Botanical Garden in District 1 until February 25. It displays models of famous wonders of Vietnam and the world such as Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall, Pyramid, Taj Mahal Temple, Mot Cot Pagoda and Halong Bay made by Chinese and Singaporean artisans.
- Culture Festival of Chinese People will last from February 28 to March 4 at April 30 Park in District 1 and the District 5 Culture Center on Tran Hung Dao Street in District 5. There will be a main celebration and the Tet Nguyen Tieu (the 15th day of the first lunar month) with abundant activities like kylin-lion-dragon dances, performance of tra***ional costumes and folk games. The festival will be attended by delegations from 26 cities and provinces in Vietnam where have Chinese live.
* Suoi Tien Park in District 9, Dam Sen Park in District 11, the Youth Cultural House, theaters, drama stages and other entertainment facilities in the city also launch many activities to serve visitors during the week-long ceremony.
