About Sherlock Holmes' story, try to search online books (which is free) on the net. Actually, I don't remember which site it is, but try to use www.google.com and search Sherlock Holmes + free online books. I have some books right now (about Sherlock Holmes), if you want, mail to : htungvu@yahoo.com.
PS: I downloaded some but I hate to read e-books, hope you don't

    THE LAST CD
There was once a guy who suffered from cancerõ?Ư..a cancer that canõ?Tt be treated. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All his life, he was stuck in his house being cared for by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once. So he asked his mother and she gave him permission.
He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to lock into the store. He saw a young girl about his age and he knew it was love at the first sight. He opened the closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk she sat.
She looked up and asked õ?oCan I help you ?õ?
She smile and he thought it was the most beautiful smile he has ever seen before and wanted to kiss her right there.
He said õ?oUHõ?ƯYeahõ?ƯUmmõ?ƯI would like to buy a CD.õ? He picked on out and gave her money for it.
õ?oWould you like me to wrap it for you ?õ?she asked, smiling her cute smile again. He nodded and she went to back. She came back with the wrapped CD and gave it to him. He took it and walked out of the store.
He went home and from then on, he went to that store everyday and bought a CD, and she wrapped it for him. He took the CD home and put it in his closet. He was still too shy to ask her out and he really wanted to but he couldnõ?Tt. His mother found out about this and told him to just ask her.
So the next day, he took all his courage and went to the store. He bought a CD like he did everyday and once again he went to the back of the store and came back with it wrapped. He took it and when she wasnõ?Tt looking, he left his phone number on the desk and ran outõ?Ư
    Then soon after that !!!RRRRING!!!!!
The mother picked up the phone and said, õ?oHello?õ?
It was the girl!!! She asked for the boy and the mother started to cry and said, õ?oYou donõ?Tt know ? He passed away yesterdayõ?Ưõ?
The line was quiet except for the cries of the boyõ?Ts mother.
    Later in the day.
The mother went into the boyõ?Ts room because she wanted to remember him. She thought she would start by looking at his clothes. So she opened the closet. She was face to face with piles and piles of unopened CDs. She was surprised to find all those CDs and she picked on up and sat down on the bed and she started to open one. Inside, there was a CD and as she took it out of the wrapper, out fell a piece of paper. The mother picked it up and started to read it.
    It said :
Hi õ?Ư I think U really cute. Do u wanna go out with me ?
    Love,
    Jacelyn
The mother opened another CDõ?ƯAgain there was a piece of paper.
    It said :
Hi õ?Ư I think U really cute. Do u wanna go out with me ?
    Love,
    Jacelyn

    Hospital Windows
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."
