Whoever made up this test is kinda funny
The test is so confusing and difficult for students at 9th grade. Those words in brackets sometimes just don't match the sentence and don't make any sense at all, but since the test is required to rewrite the senteces then i'll try my best
1/ I haven't got a screwdriver, but I think this knife will turn like a screwdriver
2/Your empty promises won't have any effect on her ice cold personality
3/Attendance in bracket is not compatible with any words in this sentence. I guess she or he should have used attend in stead of attendance to make the phrase more simple and not so complicated. My mean change is The boy submits attendance for whatever his father wants in obedient way
4/The book was covered with dust (dull means dumb, boring, not interesting,,,and dust is "rác rến", doesn't match, does it?)
5/Did you catch Alice at the party last night? (catch is a slang word for see)
6/They have made arrangments to see the director tomorrow morning
7/ I really regret to have lost the opportunity to get the promotion<~~~ really bad grammar. It should be I very regret that I had lost the opportunity to get the promotion
But my rewritten sentence would be I really regret to have lost the boat of opportunity to get the promotion
8/He was finally able to swing himself into the new working con***ion
9/Câu này em lấy của After_the_rain là perfect
10/Beat me, actually this sentence is non-sense
