Hi Sil, do ya think "back out" is OK? Because "back out" also means "stop supporting sb/sth".

Sil, Your English''''''''s good, but there''''''''s something about it that does not seem right. These are English grammar exercises, expect them to be rather formal and the keys to provide similarly formal answers. Yours are just a handful of very not formal English, some of them do not even sound right in casual contexts.
    for exp:
    - HEAD: I''''''''''''''''ve never seen the thought of going to Iceland for my holidays heading my way.
"the thought of... heading my way", ok that sounds fine, people will manage to understand you, but does it sound like proper standard English. I dont think I have heard very many people speak in that fashion.
    2. His holiday insurance scheme failed through lack of support.
    - BACK (clue: use because no one prepared) Because of lack of preparation, he has to back off with his insurance scheme.
"back off with his scheme"??? does not make any sense. Again, I trust people will manage to arrive at some deduction, but normally, it''''''''s backing out from. And besides, to "back from " does not mean "to fail", dont you think?- BACKING (clue: use because he was unable)
He was unable to follow through with his insurance scheme due to lack of backing up.
Due to the lack of backing up??? Omit "up," don''''''''t you think.
Ok, I''''''''m not trying to pick at you or anything. it''''''''s just that as I said above I sense something wrong with your English. It''''''''s good, but seems to lack a background of formality, if you know what I mean. Wild use of prepositions like "up" and "off" makes your sentences sound cool but can bring about an informal air around whatever writing you do. Hope you don''''''''t take this as an offense, but can you write an academic essay well or can you just simply chit-chat with your friends?
