Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmz I''m terribly bad at cloze exercises, anyway, just give it a try [IMG] It?Td be extraordinary if I got half of them correct [IMG]
Mr. Price, the antique dealer, lived..1 ALONE.. in a small flat above his shop. ..2 BECAUSE.. of the many valuable articles which he kept on the premises, he was always .. 3 AFRAID.. that one night someone would break in and rob him. Years AGO..4.., when he had first come to live there, he had shutters fitted ..5 OUT.. all the ground-floor windows and strong locks put on all the doors. In ad***ion, he ..6 PUT.. up most of his valuable articles in a cupboard, which he had had specially ..7 BOUGHT.. for this purpose. But, in spite of these precautions, he never felt safe, particularly ..8 WHEN.. he had a lot of money in the flat after a good day?Ts business. One Saturday night, when he ..9 COUNTED.. his money after closing the shop, he found that he had taken nearly two hundred pounds that day. This was an ...10 EXTREMELY .. large sum and the thought of keeping it in the house ..11 MADE.. him feel very nervous. He knew that it would be ..12 BETTER.. to take it to his son?Ts house, where there was a small safe, ..13 BUT.. it was a foggy evening and his son ..14 LIVED.. on the other side of town. In the end, he took the money ..15 WITH.. him to his bedroom, ..16 HIDE.. it in the pocket of one of his overcoats and locked the wardrobe door. He put the ..17 KEY.. under his pillow and went to bed. Mr. Price lay ..18 DOWN. for a long time, wondering if his money was really safe, ..19 AND.. it was well after midnight before he fell asleep. Almost immediately, or ...20 SO.. it seemed, he was woken up by the loud ringing of the shop doorbell. He sat up in bed. Could he have been dreaming? Surely, he thought, no ..21 ONE.. could want to see him ..22 AT.. this hour of the night. The doorbell rang again, echoing through the silent house. He could not ..23 HELP... thinking of a story he had read a man who had been attacked and robbed when he ..24 WAS.. to answer the door at night. Once again the doorbell rang, ..25 VERY [IMG] persistently this time. Mr. Price ..26 GOT.. out of bed and went across to the window. The fog had cleared slightly. He opened the window and looked out. He could just make out the shadowy figure of a man ..27 STANDING.. on the pavement below. ?oWhat do you want?? Mr Price ..28 SHOUTED.. out in a nervous voice. The figure stepped back ..29 AS.. it was standing under the street lamp. It was a policeman. ?oSorry to disturb you, sir,? said the policeman, ?o...30 BUT.. there is a light ..31 ON.. in your shop. I think you have forgotten to turn it off.?
Thank the wind of destiny for bringing you into my world

    Có mấy câu như sau:
    1. "Công việc của tôi là gói và buộc các gói quà"
    2. "Công việc của tôi yêu cầu một đôi bàn tay khéo léo"
    3. "(Việc) gói và buộc các gói quà yêu cầu một đôi bàn tay khéo léo"
    Nôm na là thế này:
    1. My work (be) packing and tying gifts.
    2. My work requires skillfull hands.
    3. Packing and tying gifts (require) skillfull hands.

I wrap gifts for a living. Wrapping gifts requires an artistic sense as well as an eye for balance, but most of all, a pair of inventive and skillful hands.
