Trong Saki''s collected stories có một đoạn như sau:
    Reginald
I did it, I should have known better. I persuaded Reginald to go to the McKillops'' garden-parties against his will.
We all make mistake occasionally. "They know you''re here, and they''ll think it so funny if you don''t go. And I want particularly to be in with Mrs MacKillop just now."
"I know, you want one of her smoke Persian kittens as a prospective wife for Wumples - or a husband, is it?" (Reginald has a magnificent scorn for details, other than sartorial.) "And I am expected to undergo social martyrdom *****it the connubial exigencies-"
Xin nhờ các bạn dịch giúp mình đoạn in đậm
    Cảm ơn rất nhiều

    I) Read the following text and choose the answer which you think fits best:
Of the six outer planets, Mars, commonly called, is the closest to Earth. Mars, 4200 miles in diameter and 55 percent of the size of Earth, and 141.000.000 miles from the Sun, compared to 365 days for the Earth. For many years, Mars had been thought of as the with the man-made canals supposedly discovered by an Italian astronomer, Schiaparelli, in 1877. With the United States spacecraft Viking I''s landing on Mars in 1976, the man-made canal theory was proven to be only a myth. Viking I, after landing on the soil of Mars, performed many specific experiments and took numerous pictures. The pictures showed that the red color of the planet is due to the reddish, rocky Martian soil. No biological life was found, though it had been speculated by many scientists. The Viking also monitored many weather changes including violent dust storms. Some water vapor, polar ice, and permafrost (frost below the surface) were found, indicating that at one time there were significant quantities of water on this distant planet. Evidence collected by the spacecraft shows some present volcanic action, though the volcanoes are believed to be dormant, if not extinct.

During the teenage years, many young people can at times be difficult to talk to. They often seem to dislike being questioned. They may seem unwilling to talk about their work in school. This is a normal development at this age, though it can be very hard for parents to understand. It is part of becoming independent, of teenagers trying to to be adult while they are still growing up. Young people are usually more willing to talk if they believe that questions are asked out of real interest and not because people are trying to check up on them.
Parents should do their best to talk to their son or daughter about school work and future plans but should not push them to talk if they don''t want to. Parents should also watch for the danger signs: some young people in trying to be adult may experiment with alcohol or smoking. Parents need to watch for any signs of unusual behavior which may be connected with these and get help if necessary.
    1. This is from a
    a) parent''s handbook b) teenage magazine
    c) school timetable d) children''s book
    2. What is the writer trying to do?

    c) to be questionable d) to be sorry
    3. Why do adults sometimes find teenagers difficult?

    b) because teenagers don''t want to talk to their parents.
    c) because teenagers think adults are not honest.
    d) because most teenagers hate adults.
    4. When can you expect a young person to be more talkative than usual?
    a) When people talk to them because they are really interested and not yet checking up on them.
    b) When adults giv them a lot of money to spend.
    c) When adults talk to them about something other than their work in school.
    d) When adults talk to them about alcohol and smoking.
    5. Some teenagers experiment with drinking or smoking because
    a) they regard it as a mark of adulthood.
    b) women like a smoking and drinking man.
