Well then, first of all, I want to tell U that I haven't tried to write any essays about myself, this is the first time, so that if I made any mistakes , pls ignore it. About myself huh ? I'm not such an intelligent pupil (I think so!), but I still want to help our club. The situation is not really good now, members want to make a meeting. I found out that our club need a mod who lives in Hanoi, I know that it is difficult for U to choose one from Candidate list. With a position in our clubâ?Ts management, I will try my best to arrange all the activities of our club. Moreover, Hanoi is a city where a lot of members live in, if we didnâ?Tt have a manager, then itâ?Ts truly wasteful. I have ever been a Mod, so I have much experience to be a good mod and a co-chairman, I think my Englishâ?Ts knowledge is wide enough to understand what they say, what they write. I have spent 7 years to study English, so I believe in my ability; I have every confidence of being to able to fulfil all duties assigned to me. There is nothing special about me.I've been learning English for 11 years including 7 years at Hanoi-Amsterdam high school and therefore I'm not so bad at this language.I won the second prize in the National contest in English ,won the ASEAN scholarship and got the TOEFL mark of 630 (paper-based).Last year,I was the best student of the English Department at the National University of Hanoi.That's something about my academic records.
I've never dreamt of becoming a moderator or a manager in this forum because I do not have much time to be online and because I'm not a good organizer.I've never been in charge of a group before,and I've got very little experience about the job of a manager.I even do not dare to dream that you guys will vote for me because I'm a new member here and no one knows who I am.However,I'm really enthusiastic to contribute to this group.I believe I can do something to make our forum more interesting and helpful for those who love English.I am quite confident of my command of English and I hope that my knowledge of this language is enough to answer some of your questions,as well as to help you overcome the difficulty in using the language.I know that organizing trips and meetings for you members is beyond my capability,but I really expect that I can make contribution to our forum in different ways.For example, I can help the Mods here in their work. Hello all members!
My name is Nguyễn Thuỳ Dương, 19 years old. Now, I am a freshman of the Institute for International Relations_ Ha Noi. Be a member of English club, I always wish for our club more and more widened and popular.
Look at other clubs on TTVN, you can see, English club has many advantages as well as difficulties. Why doesn't English club hold meetings like others do? May most of us know English, very well or a little. It is the most international of languages. I am sure there are many members who have a great command of English in Ha Noi. Why don't they send their essays? And, if we celebrated an English Speaking Club in the near future, are all members really enthusiastic to join?
I've learned English for 7 years, since I was at secondary school. To anyone who learn a foreign language, 7 years is not a short time. But, why is my English still not well, not to be improved considerably? It may be we learn without practice regularly, or just for high marks at school on paper.
So, if we open English Speaking Club, it is necessary and useful for those who want to exchange, to learn others' experiences. We need a person who can hold meetings, plan for time and places, collect ideas of members... No need to be the best one. It requires his enthusiasm. The most important thing is the contributions of others. Meeting and talking directly will shorten our distance.
Summer is coming. My English teacher says we ought to make it meaningful. She suggests we should go to Coffee shops or hotels, to meet foreigners. We can become their guides for the main purpose of practising our English. " Why are you all so shy when you have a lot of chances?", she said. Is it our obstacle?
I want to be a translator in the future. I really love translating short stories, (may be novels)...! This work needs wide knowledge of many fields, culture, life, politic..... It may be very hard. I always dream of it.
Hope that we can help each other to make everything better, to enrich our knowledge.

Hi everybody!
To start with, I would like to spend several words talking about myself. As you can see above in my CV, I am a student of Foreign Trade University, which is supposed to be a good university in educating, especially in teaching English. Futhermore, I have been studying English since I was in the 5th form. Therefore, my English is fairly good, in all of 4 skills.
I joined TTVNonline in June last year. However, I haven't contributed to English box so much because there are few real activities. It is the one of the main reasons why I composed the topic "Should we open an English Speaking Club ?" (pls have a look if neccessary). Really interested in speaking English, I myself took the membership of some ESCs, where I can improve my English and meet a lot of interesting people. Therefore, I am familiar with speaking in front of people. I alo studied the way to organise, though not too much, I think it is meaningful to our club.
I don't mean I am the best one here, but I hope my essay worth taking into account. And no matter the result is, I promise to try all my best to make our club better.
