Fire-crackers on TET holiday.

When Tet''''s coming, everybody is so busy with going shoping, deep cleaning and decorating houses. And I only miss the Tet with the fire-crackers,cracker smell and sound. I think the goverment issued this law 14 years ago, didn''''t it? I can''''t feel New Year''''sEve still existing when there is no transitional period between Eve and Day. Really fire crackers are unsafe for the producer, and the kids. but other countries they know how to control that, except VN, we have to say good bye with " PHÁO ". Oh, so sad...

I like to hear "Phao" sound and feel its smell very much, and I thinkt Tet is a little boring without "Phao".
But, when I know the goverment had to spend a thousand of billions VND for burning "Phao" on Tet holiday, I accepted the Tet without Phao. Some Vietnamese people are very poor and they need the help. ..

Actually, not many countries allow their citizen to fire the crackers as freely as they want. Most countries enact the law to limit people using crackers in only some appropriate occasions such as New Year, wedding ceremony, Chirstmas, to name a few.
I personally think our government should not prohibit people from firing crackers during Tet holidays. The Tet is just too special to many VNese people.

Last night I went to China Town in Singapore to count down. There was a firework performance. It ''s been long time I have not experience such nice experience.

Well, I think they should reinstate the tra***ion. Tet is not Tet w/o firecracker. I live few blocks from Little Saigon in California. At Tet''s Eve, I could hear firecracker everywhere. That brought back so much memory. Anyway, it was disruppted by firetruck''s siren couple minutes later. LOLZ!
