Population explosion burdens the Earth with human over-consumption. Global population will be ten billion by 2008 while the world is just enough for height billion at most - report of population committee, UN. So how is the outcome in future? Land will be utilized for cultivation, traffic as well as cities. The Earth?Ts natural sources are being exploited urgently and will be inevitably exhausted before long. There is no more forest to regulate the climate; no more preserve area, where valuable genes are useful for people to resist to serial dangerous diseases.

Climate change immerges the world in natural disasters. Greenhouse effect increase, as a result of industrial and agricultural activities, has been heating the Earth and, therefore, changing the climate. The more industrial development is, the more harmfulness our environment will have to bear, and nature - in responding - will bring more disasters to the world. Let?Ts imagine a scene of ten years later that we would have to go to work with a vast Ozone hole above and in the ambient temperature of 45oC for six months continuously then sail down the flooded street under acid rain for the rest of the year. Moreover, according to the researchers, natural disasters such as earthquake, volcano, storm, flood, draught etc are prevailing more regularly. Natural disasters will be reportedly accused of taking the life of twenty percents of population away for the coming period.

A potential energy crisis is visible in near future. Recent explorations showed that fossil fuel such as coal, petrol, gas are running out and just sufficiency for next twenty years still there is no innovative energy source found to be replaced effectively so far. This crisis will definitively cause an economic crisis as it ever happened in 1970s. The specters of crisis, poverty and famine are suspending above humanity.

Poverty and famine are paving the way for disease. Concerning this matter, not only in the future but also at the very moment, human being is facing with many cureless diseases. Mankind appears to be powerless in preventing and fighting against AIDS, tuberculosis, cancer etc. Besides, globalization and possibilities of biologic terrorism attack create good opportunity for infectious diseases to spread out all over the world. As estimated, such cureless epidemics will massacre around thirty percents of the world population.

Last but not least, the peril of warfare and conflict. Extreme religion and nationalism are dangerous trend appearing in the world. Lot of ethnic conflicts have been breaking out everywhere in Yugoslav, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Africa, Mexico, Palestine etc. In the future, if governments take no apt solution, conflicts and wars are supposed to end the lives of the rest of fifty percents of the world population within the next thirty years.

So, what does it take to save the world ? The answer is nothing. Civilization of mankind is irrevocably approaching to the end of a blind alley. We have a saying of ?o After rain comes the rainbow ? but in this very gloomy circumstance, what we can say now is ?o After rain comes the flood?.
