Em thì em nghĩ bản chất câu "take an easy way" như trong oxford giai rthích, thì k hẳn là nghĩa negative:

Tuy nhiên, trong đoạn văn này, thì theo ngu ý của em nên hiểu hành động đó theo chiều hướng k tốt. (tại vì nó tiếp câu Dolphins are considered people''''s friends, but they may harm people. Tuy nhiên, nghe bác just4e phân tích thì em thấy em nên posst toàn bộ đoạn văn (bổ sung thêm 3 câu đầu thôi) để các bác hiểu rõ văn cảnh hơn, em xin posst lại ạ:
Despite the good things dolphin have brought to humans, many specialists are against using dolphin for entertainment, medical treatment or any other purposes. They say dolphin are really wild animals that should be treated with caution because contact with people changes their behaviour. Their natural habits to protect themselves from danger in the wild are lost. Dolphin are considered people''''s friends, but they may harm people. When we give them food, dolphins may take the easy way out. They learn to beg for a living, lose their fear of humans and can do dangerous things. While swiming with dolphins, we are disturbing these aninals, which may get angry and bite the hand that feeds them. In short, whether friendly or not, dolphins should be left to live in their natural habitat.

Dưới đây là ý kiến của một native English speaker về "take the easy way out" trong context này:
This isn''t too well written.
"Taking the easy way out" means to do the thing that is easiest to do, to follow the path of least resistance, to avoid the harder way even if it''s better.
I believe the author is trying to say that feeding dolphins does damage to them because they become dependent on humans and learn to beg for a living rather than foraging for their own food. IHowever, the thoughts are a bit tangled beyond that. I wouldn''t say that the argument is well presented.

Bản thân cái take the easy way out không có nghĩa negative nhưng khi người ta dùng với nghĩa choose an easy way of finding food, though it''s not the right way thì ý tác giả là negative.
Còn diễn giải cái luồng logic thì như thế này. Cá heo vốn tự kiếm mồi, giờ vì được nuôi công nghiệp kiểu ấy nên khả năng kiếm mồi mất đi. Do vậy nó mới phải đi xin ăn như thế rồi dẫn theo các hệ lụy (vậy nó là negative mặc dù tác giả dùng từ không hay lắm). Bạn just4e hiểu từ learn hơi đơn giản.
Bạn chủ topic an tâm là cả đoạn (thậm chí cả bài) tôi cũng đọc rồi.

p/s : tớ vẫn thấy hơi bực mình khi hiểu theo nghĩa negative ! bắt nó nhốt trong ***g, cho nó ăn, rồi muốn nó suốt ngày đập dầu vào thành tường để đòi tự do thay vì há miệng ra chờ ăn ( trong khi có mỗi việc đó để làm ) . đúng là vừa đánh n, vừa bắt n ta cám ơn vì đã " tẩm quất"
