    The Su-30MKI multifunctional fighter
    is designed to defeat aerial
    (including cruise missiles) and
    ground (surface) targets by employing
    a wide range of airborne weapons,
    including high-precision ones.
    The Su-30MKI two-seat fighter can
    be used as a long-range interceptor
    or command aircraft for group combat
    actions. The aircraft is equipped
    with an in-flight refueling system.
    In terms of its aerodynamic configuration,
    the Su-30MKI is an integrated
    unstable triplane, which in
    combination with high-lift wing
    devices and a thrust vector control
    system combined with a fly-by-wire
    aircraft control system, provides its
    unique maneuvering and
    takeoff/landing capabilities. The
    aircraft is capable of flying without
    angle-of-attack limitations. The
    AL-31FP engines are equipped with
    axially-symmetric ±15°-vectorable
    nozzles arranged at an angle of 32°
    to each other, which allow them to
    achieve vertical and side thrust
    components at a time.
    Its new-generation avionics incorporates:
    - a fire control radar system able to
    detect and track up to 15 aerial targets
    and simultaneously engage
    four of them;
    - an optronic fire control and navigation
    complex with a laser gyrobased
    navigation system;
    - helmet-mounted and windshield
    display systems, as well as multifunction
    liquid-crystal image-mixing
    color displays;
    - a satellite navigation system, designated
    A-737, compatible with
    global positioning systems, type
    NAVSTAR, GLONASS, etc.
    The powerful universal phased-array
    airborne radar with a 20-m resolution
    is able to detect large sea targets
    at ranges of up to 400 km, and
    small-size ones at a range of
    120 km. The radar can operate in a
    stealthy approach mode; in so
    doing, at long ranges the target is
    automatically locked on and its
    coordinates are transmitted to the
    navigation complex, and then the
    radar becomes switched off. The
    fighter continues flying to the target
    in the radio silence mode and at
    a distance close to the maximum
    weapon employment range the
    radar (or the optronic fire control
    and navigation complex) gets
    switched on. In this case, the attack
    time is minimized, while the
    stealthy approach to the target significantly
    enhances the success
    probability. To engage small-size
    ground targets at night, the aircraft
    can be equipped with a podded navigation/
    fire control thermal imager.
    The Su-30MKI?Ts armament system
    includes a wide array of guided
    weapons:
    - air-to-air missiles: R-27R1
    (up to 6), R-27T1 (up to 2), R-27P
    (up to 2), R-73E (up to 6), RVV-AE
    (up to 6);
    - air-to-surface missiles: Kh-59ME
    (up to 2), Kh-31P/A (up to 6),
    Kh-29T/TE (up to 6), Kh-29L
    (up to 6), as well as guided aerial
    bombs: KAB-500Kr, KAB-500OD,
    KAB-1500Kr, KAB-1500L.
    The fighter?Ts unguided weaponry
    incorporates all types of currently
    existing destruction means. The
    GSh-301 built-in gun is provided
    with an ammunition load of 150
    rounds.
    The Su-30MKI is the first Russianmade
    aircraft developed at a foreign
    customer?Ts request.
    The Sukhoi Su-30K (Su-30KN) multifunctional
    fighter
    is designed to
    defeat aerial and ground (surface)
    targets by high-precision weapons.
    The Su-30KN is a modernized version
    of the Su-30 serially-produced
    aircraft. In the course of modernization,
    its onboard equipment was
    supplemented with a number of
    upgraded systems. Unlike its precursor,
    the Su-30KN two-seat fighter is
    capable of employing virtually the
    entire suite of Russiâ?Ts tactical
    high-precision air-to-surface
    weapons, including antiship missiles.
    It can successfully deliver
    maneuvering air combat against all
    types of modern foreign fighters and
    defeat aerial targets at long ranges.
    The aircraft is capable of making a
    stealthy approach to a target in the
    radio silence mode and automatically
    determining the target coordinates
    that significantly increases
    the combat mission accomplishment
    probability.
    In ad***ion, its long flight range
    and duration, as well as in-flight
    refuelability enable the Su-30KN to
    be used as a long-range interceptor
    or command aircraft for group combat
    actions.
    The Su-30KN combat capabilities
    are enhanced owing to outfitting
    the aircraft with the following ad***ional
    equipment:
    - a weapon control system (SUV-30K)
    upgraded for new types of weapons;
    - a modernized airborne radar capable
    of operating in the ground-mapping
    mode that enables the fighter to
    detect ground and surface targets and
    attack them irrespective of weather
    con***ions and time of the day;
    - a navigation complex incorporating
    the A-737-010 receiver of the
    satellite navigation system compatible
    with the GLONASS (Russia) and
    NAVSTAR (USA) systems;
    - two multifunctional liquid-crystal
    color displays (MFI-55) instead of
    line-of-sight indicators. The new displays
    ensure mixing of images of the
    ground map and tactical situation;
    - other ad***ional computational
    tools, indication and warning
    systems, and jamming facilities.
    The Su-30KN armament system consists
    of:
    - the GSh-301 gun with an ammunition
    load of 150 rounds;
    - air-to-air missiles: RVV-AE,
    R-27R1/ER1 (up to 6), R-27T1/ET1
    (up to 2), R-73E (up to 6);
    - air-to-surface missiles: Kh-31A/P
    (up to 4), Kh-29T/TE (up to 4),
    Kh-59ME (up to 2), as well as guided
    aerial bombs: KAB-500Kr and
    KAB-1500Kr;
    - unguided rockets: S-8 (up to 80) in
    the B-8M1 rocket pods, S-13
    (up to 20) in the B-13L rocket pods,
    S-25OFM (up to 4);
    - aerial bombs: 50-kg (up to 32),
    100-kg (up to 38), 250-kg
    (up to 28), 500-kg (up to 8);
    - bomb clusters RBK-500 with PBE-D
    (up to 6).

    Các nguồn chuyên nghiệp đã rõ rồi (không chỉ riêng cái link đó), giải thích theo trích dẫn từ sách radar chính thống cũng đã rõ. Jet_Ace lại đi hỏi trên game forum Lock-On thì cũng giống như đi hỏi người thường trong một diễn đàn khác, chẳng giá trị gì, họ cũng chẳng mấy khác. Trừ phi là còn hậm hực .

    Russian-Made Jets Threaten US Supremacy in Air Power ?"General
    Created: 24.06.2004 11:54 MSK (GMT +3), Updated: 15:26 MSK
    MosNews
    The United States must modernize its fighter jets to maintain air supremacy, a top U.S. Air Force general said on Wednesday, the Reuters news agency reports. The general cited the success of advanced Russian-made jets against American planes in a recent exercise as signaling an erosion of its overwhelming advantage.
    Gen. Hal Hornburg, head of U.S. Air Combat Command, said a U.S. air-to-air exercise with the Indian Air Force in February, in which India used Russian jets to defeat aging American F-15Cs, revealed ?othat we may not be as far ahead of the rest of the world as we once thought we were.?
    Defense experts in both the United States and Europe, however, have said it is unlikely that America ?"- with vast spending power and a major industrial base ?"- would lose its dominance in military technology.
    U.S. defense officials have said Indian SU-30, Mig-27, and older MiG-21 jets, some armed with Russian-made AA-10 air-to-air missiles, got the best of F-15s based in Alaska in exercise ?oCope Indiâ? high over northern India.
    Hornburg said in an interview with military writers that the air maneuvers emphasized his servicê?Ts push for expensive, stealthy new F/A-22 ?oRaptors? being built by Lockheed Martin Corp, and F-35 Joint Strike Fighters being designed by Lockheed with input from allies.
    He declined to discuss the classified results of the exercise but said, ?oSomething like Cope India, when we find that some of our advantages aren?Tt as great as we thought they might be, leads me to remind people that we need to modernize our air-to-air capability.?
    Hornburg added, ?oWe have been saying for a long time that we need newer fighters to do more things,? and that the Indian exercise could be a ?owake-up call? for Washington.
    Russiâ?Ts Sukhoi Aviation Works and the Moscow Air Production Organization company have been designing and building increasingly advanced fighters, such as the MiG-29, in recent years. India, China, and other countries are buying the warplanes ?"- some with contracts for co-production.
    France and Sweden also build advanced combat planes, and a consortium of four European countries, including Britain, are producing the Eurofighter ?oTyphoon? jet.
    ?oI see air forces across the spectrum and across the world becoming better and better as each year passes. That just means that we have to do the same thing,? said Hornburg.
    ?oWith air superiority, everything is possible. Without it, hardly anything?Ts possiblê? he added. ?oPeople jump to the conclusion that it is ours just because we go. And that?Ts blatantly false.?

    RUSSIA REMAINS A LEADER AMONG THE CREATORS OF WARPLANES
    However, no one needs its civil jetliners
    Russia''s exposition at Paris Air Show 2005 (1,700 square meters) is the second-major regarding the number of military products after the US. Visitors are interested in products displayed by the Russian defense industry. Russia focuses on developing production of warplanes, and the civil aircraft industry is in stagnation. It''s no coincidence that the RRJ project, which was represented in France, is realized by the Sukhoi military-industrial holding.
    In all, over 40 defense enterprises represent Russia in France. Rosoboronexport reports that Russian produces displayed a wide range of prospective military hardware for the Air Force in the form of scale models and videos. Visitors can get information about RRJ and all export modifications of warplanes by the Sukhoi company. First and foremost, the matter concerns the Su-27SKM fighter (generation 4+). This maneuverable fighter features the best flight characteristics in the world and can destroy any type of air, surface and ground targets using high-precision weapons. In ad***ion, Sukhoi displayed the Su-30MK fighter, the Su-32 fighter-bomber, the Su-39 assault plane equipped with the Kopye radio-locating complex, the Su-47 experimental plane, the Su-33 ship borne fighter and more.
    Rosoboronexport''s representatives note that Sukhoi is first in the top ten companies of the Russian defense industry (its profit amounted to $1.5 billion last year).
    The MiG corporation also has a large stand at the show. This company''s sales amounted to $427 million in 2004. Specialists are interested in the MiG-AT combat-training plane and the MiG-29 front fighter. The corporation also displayed the STBP-29 simulator. Representatives of foreign armies are also interested in the MiG-31E interceptor.
    The Yak-130 combat-training plane is another interesting model in the Russian exposition. The aircraft can be used as a training plane and as a light assault plane. Different modifications of the Mil and Kamov helicopters occupy a substantial niche at the expo.
    Rosoboronexport notes that Russia remains a leader among the major suppliers of warplanes and combat helicopters in the world. The share of space and aircraft products in Russia''s arms exports ($5.12 billion in 2004) amounts to around 60%.
    It should be noted that Russian aircraft producers participate in all regional tenders and offer their fighters, military-transport planes and helicopters.
    Rosoboronexport noted it its press release, "tender programs offered by Russia become favorites not only in the cost-efficiency category where Russia is tra***ionally strong. Our offset offers and programs linked with the passage of technologies and licenses, and organization of maintenance centers become more competitive. Our space technologies succeed on foreign markets." It should be noted that Rosoboronexport and enterprises of the Russian airspace industry "prove to be mature as long-term and strategic partners within the framework of their contracts".
    In particular, Russia accomplished the contract *****pply the Su-30MKI fighters to the Indian Air Force in November 2004.
    This project is unique because Russia exported onboard radio-electronic hardware created in cooperation with Indian, French and Israeli companies.
    Russia focuses on modernization programs and the creation of prospective combat, military-transport and multipurpose helicopters using new materials and radio-electronic complexes. In this regard, specialists say that the demand for modified models of Russian helicopters increases.
    The range of products and the geography of exports expands. In particular, Russia recently signed a contract *****pply the Mil helicopters to Venezuela. Russia supplies helicopters to the Czech republic and Malaysia. Rosoboronexport notes that Russian producers cooperate with European partners (SAGEM, THALES, MBDA, SNECMA, Bae Systems). The partners plan to modernize warplanes and helicopters and the armies of east European and Central European nations. Russia does not rule out the possibility of creating heavy transport helicopters for European customers.
    There are some achievements in Russian-French military-technical cooperation. In particular, they promote the MiG-AT combat-training plane equipped with the SNECMA engines to foreign countries. The press service of Rosoboronexport states that Russia cooperates with SAGEM in creating the LINS-2000 laser inertial navigation system.
    At the same time, it should be noted that Russia falls behind foreign countries in the sector of civil jetliners, though Russia has a substantial foundation for developing this sector. However, jetliners become obsolete, and Russia does not produce new ones. Russian companies purchased only two Il-96 and one Tu-204 jetliners last year. In ad***ion, Russia equips its jetliners with Western engines in order to meet modern requirements. Airlines prefer foreign jetliners despite the fact that they have to pay customs duties. In particular, they purchased 29 foreign jetliners last year. As a rule, these are Boeing jetliners.
    In other words, Russia has good chances to become a strong aircraft power in the future. This requires support from the state and strong will. To all appearances, Moscow must toughen requirements on imports of foreign jetliners.

    Russia To Equip Hundred Chinese Fighters With Su-27 Engines
    12:07:2005

    Rosoboronexport enterprise concluded a contract to deliver a batch of AL-31 aircraft engines to China. People''s Republic of China will receive100 engines under the contract. The estimated contract value is $300 million (AL-31 export price is $3 million). According to defense analysts, the Chinese will most probably install these engines on J-10 lightweight fighters manufactured with Israeli technologies. In 2003 Russia furnished China with 54 such engines which were installed on these aircraft. Earlier this year Rosoboronexport signed a contract for delivery of RD-93 aircraft engines to China. The contract value is $267 million (these engines will equip JH-17 fighters exported by China). Besides, another $200 million contract for design, delivery and licensed production of AL-55 engine was concluded with India. AL-55 is designed for HJT-36 and HJT-39 aircraft. By expert estimate, Russia concluded engine export contracts almost for $800 million in all this year. According to experts, the engine deliveries donâ?Tt mean that People''s Republic of China will cease exporting Su-27 and Su-30 from Russia. The Chinese army operates fighters of two types: lightweight J-10 and heavy of Russian manufacture.
