Hi Freshman = Tân binh = Lính mới,
THERE ARE AT LEAST 6 WAYS TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ADJECTIVE AND A STATIVE PASSIVE.
    STATIVE PASSIVES
    1. STATIVE PASSIVES ARE VERB-LIKE WORDS THAT FOLLOW ?oBE? IN SENTENCES AND FUNCTION AS ADJECTIVES.
    See the examples below:
    He is hungry. (Adjective)
    He is interested (Stative passive)
His leg is broken. (Stative passive)
    2. STATIVE PASSIVES INDICATE A STATUS OR CON***ION WHICH MAY EXIST OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. IN CONTRAST, ACTION VERBS OFTEN INDICATE A CHANGE FROM ONE STATUS TO ANOTHER.
We got married in 1998. (Action: We changed from ?osingle? to ?omarried?.)
We are married now. (Status: Our current con***ion is ?omarried.?)
Jack broke the window. (Action: Indicates what happened at a given moment.)
The window is broken. (Status: Indicates the con***ion of the window.)
    3. NOTE HOW THE ACTION / STATUS CONTRAST WORKS WITH OTHER VERBS:
Jared fell asleep. (Action: Change in status from ?oawake? to "asleep").
Jared is asleep. (Status: Indicates Jared?Ts current con***ion.)
Joan became sick. (Action: Joan changed from ?ohealthy? to ?osick.?)
Joan is sick. (Status: Joan?Ts present con***ion.)
The building caught fire. (Action: Indicates the point when the fire started.)
The building is on fire now. (Status: Indicates the con***ion of the building.)
    The doctor came in. (Action)
    The doctor is in. (Status)
    4. STATIVE PASSIVES ARE OFTEN USED WITH PREPOSITIONAL EXPRESSIONS.
    She is interested in photography.
Brad was worried about his mother.
    Carmen is terrified of snakes.
Everyone was caught up in the excitement.
    5. SOME ADJECTIVES ALSO FIT IN THE SAME PATTERN:
    Karen is fond of chocolates.
    I?Tm crazy about sports cars.
    You?Tre full of baloney.
    6. LEARNING BY HEART:
accustomed to / afraid of / answerable to / attached to / aware of / capable of / dependent on / different to / doubtful about / enthusiastic about / excited about / famous for / fond of guilty of / interested in / keen on / opposed to / pleased with / popular with / proud of / related to / rich in / satisfied with / serious about / similar to / suitable for / suspicious of / used to (= accustomed to).

    Hi,
I have both composed (soạn) and e***ed (chủ biên) the explanation for Lính Mới''s question. Of course, I have collected the material from different sources, of which there is what you have just mentioned. To me, knowledge is supposed to be what is transferred from one to another. I just use "composed" (soạn) and ?oe***ed? (biên tập) on the material I have collected. I do not often use "written" or ?ocontributed?, for a reason that some readers may misunderstand that I am the writer of the material, or more concretely speaking, the material is (or has been) written ?oby me?. In fact, I am only an e***or (người biên tập).
    Note:
To e*** = prepare for publication: to prepare a text for publication by correcting errors and ensuring clarity and accuracy.
E***or = text corrector: somebody who prepares a text for publication by correcting errors and improving accuracy and clarity
To compose = put elements together: to put things together to form a whole

    4. A certain level of knowledge in English
I have used the four to e*** what is called ?oTHE ANSWERS TO THE TOEFL VOCABULARY PRACTICE 5.?
And, it is not seemingly right to write "written" or ?ocontributed? at the bottom of the task. However, it is sensible (hợp lẽ) to write ?oe***ed?.

A question is put whether I can compose a piece of messages, documents, materials, or something else in the "COMPOSE BOX/SECTION in a YAHOO account.
Theoretically, there is a limit to using "to compose". Practically, using "to compose" is more flexible than usual, however.
