Hải Phòng quê ta đó Hai Phong Area: 1,503 sq.km Population: 1,640,000 The city of Hai Phong, one of the three largest cities in Vietnam after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, was officially founded in 1888. Situated 102 km east of Hanoi, Hai Phong lies on the coast of the Pacific. It has an average temperature of 23oC-24oC and an average rainfall of between 1,600mm-1,800mm. With a warm climate and sunny beaches, only 20km from the centre of the city, Hai Phong has favourable con***ions for toursm. Hai Phong is also a major sea port lying on the inrernational sea lane from East-West and North-South. It was already a commercial port some centuies ago when merchants from China, Japan, France, Spain, and Portugal came to trade. Nowadays Hai Phong, joining the whole country in the process of renovation, is own economic projects to build an export processing zone and an industrial estatp to develop the city''s local industries, particularly the chemical industry, ship-building, and the construction materials business. An international tourist and recreation centre in Do Son is taking shape. Also inder way are projects to upgrade the facilities of the port, and National Highway 5 linking Hai Phong and Hanoi. Beside its naturally beautiful seascapes, Hai Phong also attracts tourists keen to sample its unique tra***ional festivls, ritual ceremonies, and places of historic and cultural interest. TOURIST ATTRACTIONS Do Son Beach: The Do Son town, 22km southeast of Hai Phong City, lies between the Lach Tray and Van Uc river mouths. This five-km-long promontory is successively sotted with hills and forests. Immediately upon setting foot in Hai Phong, the French turned Do Son into a summer resort for their expatriate community and the Vietnamese upper classes. Do Son Airport was built in 1950. The sea resort twn is composed lf three zones, each having bathing beaches, hills and quiet pine forests. In Zone II atands a former summer residence of Bao Dai, The final King of the Nguyen dynasty. In Zone III there is small construction, built in imitation of a pagoda. It is called "Pagoda". At the very tip of the peninsula built on the top a large hill, is the Van Hoa Hotel. This is the finest architectural work in Do Son. Thi two-turret, red-tiled hotel stands out from the green trees. The hotel with its stone basement and walls builr from the water''s edge looks like ancient citadel. The Du Hang Pagoda: This pagoda, named by scholars Phuc Lam Tu, is located in Ho Nam ward, Le Chan district, 2km south-west from the centre of Hai Phong. The pagoda was built in the Early Le Dynasty (980-1009). King Tran Nhan Tong (1258-1308), a devout Buddhist also came to preach at the pagoda. It inderwent repair and restoration on several occasions, and now it is classified as a place of historical interest with many relics: Buddha statues, bronze urns, bells, gongs and of particular note, the prayer book of Trang A Ham, an ancient Buddhist doctrine. The Hang Kenh Communal House was built in 1856. In 1905 it expanded to its present form. It was named by scholars the Nhan Tho Communal House. The Communal House is famous for its invaluable works of wooden sculpture: 156 pieces of ingraving with the figure of a dragon as the main theme. There are altogether 308 dragons of different shapes and sizes. Of high artistic value are a statue of King Ngo Quyen and a palanquin. Every year from the 16th to 18th days of the 2nd lunar month, ritual ceremonies, festivals, performances of cheo, tuong, and other folk songs, and tra***ional games are held at the house, attracting a large public participation. The Cat Ba National Park: It is asituated on Cat Ba Island some 30 nautical miles east of Hai Phong Port. The park covers 15,200 ha, including 9,800 ha of forest and 4,200 haof sea waters. It is of great value for its interrelated diverse ecosy stems of forest and sea. Cat Ba Is land is the biggest of the Cat Ba group of 366 islands. They join Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay to form a spectacular array of sea and island scenery. The Cat Ba National Park mostly includes limestone hills with an average height of 150m. The highest one is Cao Vong raising 322m above sea level. There are also a lot of marvelous grottoes and white sandy beaches. In the Cat Ba National Park there remain the largest area of tropical primeval forests on Vietnam. According to onitial statistics, there are some 745 species in 149 families of plants, including various species of rare wood trees that need to be protected such as cho doi, trai ly, lat hoa and kim giao. Cat Ba National Park is home to 20 types of mammals, 69 birds, and more tha 30 reptiles and amphibians. The rarest are the vooc (white-headed monkeys) which are seen on the high limestone mountain walls along the island''s coast. Also seen are mountain goats, deer, wild boars and various kinds of beautiful birds such as kingfishers, hornbills and hawks. The Bach Dang River: Some 20km to the northeast of Hai Phong is the large river of Bach Dang which runs through a rugged terrain close to the sea. The Bach Dang River, also named Van Cu River or Rung River, entered Vietnamese history with the resounding military exploits of national heroes Ngo Quyen (938 A.D.), Le Hoan (981 A.D.) and Tran Quoc Tuan (1288). Voi Mountain: This is a complex of diverse natural scenery lying some 20km to the southwest from Hai Phong City. Standing out of many earth hills and vast rice fields is a mountain area dotted with beautiful grottoes such as Long Tien and Hong Voi. At the height of 156m the ground levels to form Ban Co Tien (Fairies'' Chess Board). From here you have a splendid view of the prosperous, Peaceful countryside landscape of Hai Phong.It''s just like enjoying a vivid Chinese ink drawing. Hội thảo về công nghệ thông tin và truyền thông Hải Phòng với yêu cầu hội nhập kinh tế quốc tế Sáng 26/9, tại Cung Văn hoá Lao động Hữu nghị Việt Tiệp diễn ra Hội thảo khoa học về Công nghệ thông tin và truyền thông Hải Phòng với yêu cầu hội nhập kinh tế quốc tế do Ban chỉ đạo Hội nhập Kinh tế quốc tế thành phố phối hợp với Hội Điện tử, Tin học và Viễn thông Hải Phòng tổ chức.
