Report on the tour with Mike on March 14th
On Wednesday, March 14th, we gave Mike, an English guy, a ?oguided? tour in the morning and in the afternoon.
In the morning, Mike and Ha visited Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh museum. Technically, I wasn?Tt with them on that tour and knew almost nothing about it so I?Td prefer to stop the report on the morning tour here until I can receive any more info.
In the afternoon, I met Mike at his hotel at 2p.m. I was informed that he wanted to visit Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and Museum of Ethnology so we decided to choose HCM mausoleum to visit first. Unfortunately, the very first sentence we heard when we got there was: ?oHCM mausoleum opens only in the morning, not in the afternoon so please come back tomorrow morning?!!! There wouldn?Tt have been any problem if the guardian had informed me about that before I parked my motorbike. As a result, I had to pay 2k VND for just 1-minute-motorbike keeping service! I had no choice but to drive Mike to Museum of Ethnology. To be honest, I felt quite worried because I?Tve never been to the Museum, like him. How could I guide him through that place? Fortunately, he asked me that: ?o Is this your first time here?? and I admitted immediately (How could he know that??!!). And he said: ?o It?Ts interesting? and we went around to find out about the Museum together. I thought we had a good time together, I told him everything I know about our tra***ion and he shared with me some interesting information about some countries hê?Ts visited. I must say, I?Tve learn more about some other countries?T culture thanks to him. The museum is very large with many awesome items to see so it took us quite a long time to finish our tour. Moreover, we had chance to enjoy a free water puppet show in the museum?Ts backyard.
For it?Ts quite late when we left the Museum so I decided to drive him to the West Lake and have a brief visit at Tran Vu pagoda.
The clock said 5h15p.m when we reached the door of his hotel. We said goodbye and I went home (of course! ^^)

HanoiKids Uniting Meeting
Dear all,
This week we dont have any Training activities just to save time for this meeting. It seems to be centuries we havent met, which is too weird! I do think we cant delay this any more or some may think we are facing deterioration [}.
So nice to see that we are still going on, lots of customers and lots of new members,perhaps enough people to start an invasion []. So, unity is the first presequisite to consider. As I myself, as well as all Leader Board, am eager to see you !

hey ms huong voi, you forgot the most important way! it''s advertising from the international travel forum as lonelyplanet. Almost of our guests are from lonely, it''s really an active forum for tourists! And except that forum, we are trying to advertise to more another travel forum, especially asia as well asean forum! I think our blog and ttvn forum are only for mems (cos no guests know), so, in fact, we have 3 ways to "catch guests":

HanoiKids Meeting Report
First of all, I?Td like to thank all the participants who did turn up last Sunday. You all deserve to have every possible compliment I may spend my whole life thinking of.. Without your enthusiasm and responsibility, I would have nothing to write this report, or else I would have to become a dictator. Thank Goodness I did not have to.
So the weather was not in favour of HanoiKids at all as it just kept raining and being cold, however, altogether in a small and cozy cafê?T, we had a successful conference ( while some were hurriedly trying to fill their empty and large tummy ?" whose name I won?Tt dare to tell). In the end, we reached decisions on the most urgent and important points, which are:
1. A firm, reliable group of Tour Leaders.
2. Member management: Restriction on newbiê?Ts registration; Member confirmation.
3. Training : Frequency, Method and Location for Training and Review
4. Website construction: we are going to have a real website!
5. Monetary matter: Plan for sponsorship, Agreement on Customers?T donation, Allowance for HanoiKids members.
The above sounds nice, don?Tt they? Anyway, if you still haven?Tt figure out, I don?Tt mind writing in details
Decision 1 : The Core of a Tour
As HanoiKids is drawing the attention of more and more foreigners, we are having more customers and more condensed tours. And you all know that HanoiKids has been receiving so many new members that within such a short period of time, we havent known each other well. Thus, it is advisable to establish a group of competent members who will always be present in and take the main charge of a tour.
There are 7 people proposed :
Morning shift : Nguyen Ha ( Secret) Kim Huong
Tran Ha ( fire_ fly) Nguyet Anh ( pony)

Afternoon shift : Huyen Trang ( Peony) Giang Cutie
Decision 2 :
Newbie recruitment: Will happen only from the 1st- 15th day of the month and will take no more than 10 first members registering. The rest of the month will be for the Personnel Board to arrange and confirm the number of members.
Member confirmation : How many members are there in HanoiKids?
Noone knows yet. Thus, the deadline to let us know if you are (still) on the same boat with us is March 30, 2007.

Decision 3 : Training
This activity will happen 3 times a month, including:
- 1 Excursion: members will have to prepare materials and present about the site themselves.
- 1 Sample tour guiding: with the participation of Miss Thao either as Supervisor or Instructor.
- 1 Review: Time for everybody in our group to gather, report our activities, and have fun!
One striking new suggestion: We are going to hire a room for the Review.
Mr Hung ( hungqtx) will be up to looking for a place.
Deadline to report : March 26th, 2007.
Decision 4 : Website
This painstaking problem has been with us for too long and hopefully we will have it done once and for all this time!
Personage in charge: Mr Quyet Thang
Deadline: Mar 25th, 2007
Details: A detailed Instruction will be delivered to all members right after the construction is finished.
( Hic, I bother to describe it. So please Thang, be quick and let people see it themselves! )
Decision 5: Money
- Customers?T donation : HanoiKids is supposed to take no fee and no charge, but not the DONATION! So bear this in mind! Don?Tt ever refuse any kindness that any kind customer might offer at the end of your tour.
The money received will all be put into our budget to cater for our common activities.
- Sponsorship: Miss Thao offers to give us some amount of money, asking us to give her just the plan of how to spend her money.
Therefore, the money from the Donation from Customers, Support from Miss Thao and Membership is to cover these expenses:
- Renting fee : about 50k ?" 100k / month
- Allowance for People in Managing Board ( for telephone / transportation / time compensation) : around 30k -50k / person / month
- Some certain Entrance Fees at Tourist Sites
- Allowance for Members participating in the Tour : half a monthly membership. (Members will get the Refund at the next Review after the tour).
All the intentions are tentative and will be adapted time after time.

Report for Sunday morning and afternoon wit 2 frds from Japan and England.(Lena and Richard)
- On Sunday morning, Xuan and me went to Museum of enthnology at 9:00am and w8ting Tuan Anh picked Lena and Richard. Unfortunately, we had to w8 for an hour, then T.Anh called us and wanted us go to Ho Chi Minh museum.(Must be wrong schedule)
- at 10:05 Am , we were ar HCM museum and started our tour wit Richard and Lena.So, at that time we had 6 ppl (include Richard and Lena) ^^
- Then, our Leader- Miss Trang joined us after finishing the meeting wit HNKids members.
- 11:50am we came to Nguyen Khuyen to have lunch. And went to Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam.

- While we showed them about VM- QTG, we saw 3 ppl- they are from Dan Mach without a guide. SO, T. Anh asked them to join us. we had 5 guests at that time.



- At 2:30 pm, we finished all. Miss Trang and Tuan Anh had to leave, and 3 frds from Dan Mach wanted to back their hotel. So, we had to say bye to everybody and continued out tour wit Richard and Lena.
- We came to HK lake and came inside Ngoc SOn temple. Wat a pity!! our guests had to back to their guest house at 4:00pm. we didnt go to the old- quarter.
Our tour end at 4:15pm when we took them back to their guest house.
Sorry in this report i cut down some information, i cant write the details of that tour now, i will write in another time. Ok?
p/s: a girl from Japan very funny when she said that: "xin chao" and "cam on". ^^
