SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras - Soldiers and Airmen hang 100 feet above the ground from a UH-60 Blackhawk here recently. Search and Rescue team members trained in a Special Patrol Infiltration and Exfilration System exercise with aircrews from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment. In turn, the SAR team members serve as a training aids for aircrews to conduct tactical operations on counter-narcoterrorism missions.

OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN -- Tech. Sgt. Jason Arnott and Staff Sgt. Eric Shaw guide the pilot and co-pilot as they prepare to land on a Navy ship near San Diego. The landing was part of water-rescue training for 55th Rescue Squadron HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter crews. Sergeant Arnott is a crew chief, and Sergeant Shaw is a flight engineer. They are based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Airmen with the 757th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here load an HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter aboard a C-17 Globemaster III for transport to a forward-deployed location.

NAVAL AIR STATION KEFLAVIK, Iceland- -- A HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter from the 56th Rescue Squadron provides heavy lift/sling load support to the fishing trawler, the Baldvin Thorsteinsson. The 56th Rescue Squadron, along with members of the 85th Maintenance Squadron, recently played a key role in the recovery efforts of the fishing trawler, which had been stranded on a sand bar off Iceland''s southern coast for three days.

LUNGI, Sierra Leone (AFPN) -- Three HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters from the 56th Rescue Squadron at Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland, carry evacuees from the U.S. Embassy in Liberia on July 23. The squadron is deployed here to provide personnel recovery and emergency evacuation for the Humanitarian Assistance Survey Team in Liberia.
