Eisenhower (CVN 69). Eisenhower is deployed in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO) and the global war on terrorism.

Red Sea (Oct. 31, 2006) - Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) pulls alongside the Enterprise-class aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) for turnover. Eisenhower is deployed in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO).

Atlantic Ocean (Oct. 23, 2006) - Fire Controlman 2nd Class Jordan A. Holdaway assigned to guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) awaits orders to engage an attacker during a small boat attack drill as part of the joint military course Neptune Warrior, a course designed and led by the Joint Maritime Operational Training Staff (JMOTS) Northwood in the United Kingdom. Monterey relieved the guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) as the flagship for Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG2). SNMG2 was established as an immediate reaction force and as a High Readiness Maritime Element of the NATO Response Force (NRF).

Stennis Space Center, Miss. (Oct. 23 2006) - An Iraqi Soldier assigned to Iraqi Riverine Police Force mans a M-60 machine gun during special boat maneuvers and weapon handling training. The Iraqi force is currently attending a six-week Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) training course at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

An EC-130H Compass Call sits on the flightline at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, while maintainers perform a routine check. The 41st Expe***ionary Electronic Combat Squadron aircrew members have flown more than 5,000 combat hours in support of the war on terrorism. The aircraft and members from the squadron are deployed from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.
