    Hix, mỗi lần sis post link mới em đều xem- để học về các tiêu chí chứ cũng chưa thể apply được. Thứ 1 là các HB đều đòi hỏi 3-5 năm kinh nghiệm--> PV trẻ như em pó tay. Thứ 2 là họ đòi hỏi thư giới thiệu của Tổng BT or Thư ký TS--> pó tay ( vì rất hiếm có TS nào lại cho PV trẻ đi học ở nước ngoài 1 tháng chứ nói gì đến vài 3 tháng ). Đầu năm nay em từng apply 1HB nhưng lý do mà em thất bại k phải vì hồ sơ em tệ mà vì em ko có loại thư giới thiệu này
    hix, mà nếu chờ đợi "kinh nghiệm" thì sau vài năm nữa -em già rùi, hết tâm huyết bay nhảy '' Lúc đó có xin được thu giới thiệu cũng dzô nghĩa
    PS: hì hì, cảm nhận của em là xuất phát từ nick của sis, thứ 2 là từ 1 số entry sis viết về nước Ý. hihi, em cũng đoán là sis hơn em từ 5-7 tuổi ^___^!

    Trước đây chị cũng làm việc tại một tòa soạn báo 2 năm và có nhiều người quen làm báo. Chị thấy nhiều các sếp ở các báo, nhất là những sếp trẻ rất thoải mái và understanding. Bản thân các sếp từng dự các khóa học tương tự và thấy rất bổ ích nên luôn khuyến khích đàn em đi học (miễn là "chúng nó" ko đi cùng lúc). Chị cũng may mắn gặp đc các sếp như vậy. Dĩ nhiên chị cũng biết 1 số sếp khó khăn, nhưng số thoải mái chị thấy nhiều hơn.
    Em đã thử xin các sếp em chưa?
    Bạn và người quen của chị nhiều người đi học ở Inwent và cái ở Hà Lan lắm. Họ cũng đi từ 1 đến 3 tháng cả đấy chứ.
    Dài hơi hơn, em có thể xin học bổng thạc sĩ mà.
    Fulbright, Chevening, ADS, ALA, Erasmus Mundus đều có ngành báo chí - truyền thông.

    Deadline for the submission of applications: August 1.
    ALFRED FRIENDLY PRESS FELLOWSHIPS
    INCLUDING THE DANIEL PEARL FELLOWSHIPS
    **2009 APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE**
    PROGRAM GOALS:
    To provide the Fellow with experience in reporting, writing and e***ing that will enhance future professional performance;
    To enable the Fellow to gain a practical understanding of the function and significance of the free press in American society;
    To transfer knowledge gained on the program to colleagues at home;
    To foster continuing ties between free press institutions and journalists in the United States and their counterparts in other countries.
    CRITERIA of ELIGIBILITY:
    Current full-time employment as a journalist for the news or e***orial departments of independent newspapers, wire services, online publications, or magazines of general public interest in a developing country;
    At least three years of full-time professional experience as a journalist in the print/online media;
    Citizenship of a developing country;
    Early to mid-career status and between 25 and 35 years old;
    A demonstrated personal commitment to a career in journalism in a developing country;
    Ability and desire to share what is learned on the fellowship with other journalists at home;
    Endorsement from the management of the home publication;
    An excellent command of both written and spoken English as all activities are conducted in English.
    THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM:
    In the conviction that a strong, free press is essential to the healthy functioning of a democracy, the late Alfred Friendly, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and former managing e***or of The Washington Post, conceived a fellowship program that would both impart American journalistic tra***ions and respond to worldwide interest in the dissemination of fair and accurate news. It was Alfred Friendly?s belief that working side by side with reporters and e***ors is the best way to absorb the practical realities of journalism in this country and the instrumental role it plays in our society. Therefore, he created the program that bears his name to immerse approximately ten journalists each year for six months in American newsrooms. Between 1984 and 2008, the ALFRED FRIENDLY PRESS FELLOWSHIPS (AFPF) has trained 258 journalists from 78 countries.
    In ad***ion to the six month newsroom experience, the program provides an allowance for journalism books, conferences, short-term professional visits and a journalist exchange; offers a Training the Trainer class to prepare our Fellows to share what they?ve learned on the program with colleagues at home; works closely with home and host news organizations to create specific plans for the Fellows; offers specialized fellowships by topic (business, health, investigations, etc.) and region (Muslim world); and teaches newsroom management skills. Our goal is to increase the level of effectiveness and excellence of the AFPF program in the 21st century and to broaden the impact of the program on countries that are working to understand press freedom.
    Sharing the goals of AFPF, the Daniel Pearl Foundation (www.danielpearl.org) partnered with AFPF in 2003 to offer special fellowships to honor the life and work of journalist Daniel Pearl ? The Wall Street Journal South Asia bureau chief who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002. Daniel Pearl Fellows ? four from Pakistan and one each from Egypt, Nepal, Turkey and Yemen ? have worked at The Berkshire Eagle/North Adams Transcript, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and the Washington DC bureau of The Wall Street Journal. Applicants for the DANIEL PEARL FELLOWSHIPS (DPF) come from areas that Daniel Pearl covered as a journalist ? the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Daniel Pearl Fellows are also Friendly Fellows and participate in all fellowship activities. They may receive opportunities, not offered to other Friendly Fellows, in line with the mission of the Daniel Pearl Foundation ? to encourage dialogue among people of different cultures, reduce cultural and religious tensions and create a platform for responsible and creative journalism.
    The fellowship program begins in March with a two-week orientation seminar in Washington, DC designed to prepare the Fellows ? both personally and professionally ? for the challenges of living and working in the United States. At the middle of the program, Fellows and staff come together for a week at The Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida for seminars focused on writing, e***ing and newsroom coaching. A final seminar in Washington reunites the Fellows and prepares them to train other journalists upon returning to their home countries. It also allows Fellows to compare and evaluate their experiences and discuss their impressions of the American media. Fellows return to their home countries in early September to begin sharing their knowledge and skills with colleagues, e***ors and publishers in their home newsrooms.
    The Fellowship covers all costs of program-related international and domestic U.S. travel, health insurance and provides a monthly stipend to cover basic living expenses. It is highly recommended that Fellows bring ad***ional money with them. While family members may visit for up to one month, they cannot accompany the Fellow for the duration of the Fellowship.

    Deadline là ngày 28/7/2008. Bạn nào ko chuẩn bị kịp, mình suggest gọi điện hay email cho IMMF xin nộp muộn vài hôm. Theo những gì mình biết thì họ cũng flexible lắm.
    The next IMMF regional training course is scheduled to begin in October 2008. The theme of the course is Ageing Asia and will focus on print journalism with a photojournalism element.
    The course will run for four weeks in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand from October 18 through November 15, 2008.
    Journalists will visit homes where older people live abandoned by their families, and communities where grandparents are returning to work *****pport their grandchildren whose parents have died of AIDS. Participants will also learn about the government?Ts response to an ageing society. Thailand has started a mandatory pension plan for company employees (about six per cent of a person''s salary). Is this the solution to an ageing Asia and how are other countries in the region preparing for the future?
    The course, sponsored by the Indochina Media Memorial Foundation, is open to 16 working journalists from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. Applicants should have a minimum of three years?T work experience and be reasonably fluent in English. The entire course is conducted in the English language.
