We are currently seeking applications for the two-year Master in Public Policy (MPP) for young professionals with 1-5 years work experience and a one-year Master in Public Administration (MPA) for mid-career managers with 5-15 years of work experience. These programmes provide an unparalleled opportunity to network with the next generation of leaders in Asia who are being groomed as future leaders for their countries. For aspiring leaders keen to study, work, and live in Asia, there are few institutions that can match our experience and credentials. In the 21st century, one trend will be clear: the re-emergence and renaissance of Asian societies. Perhaps more than any other public policy programme, the LKY School, which was set up in partnership with the Harvard Kennedy School uses its global classroom to provide insight into a newly emerging Asia. With more than 400 students from over 50 countries, it is hard to match our classrooms' diversity and dynamism. Twenty percent of our students come from Singapore; the rest from all over the world. Our international students come largely from India, China, South East Asia, and the United States, converging some of the world's most dynamic economies and fostering networking with the next generation of Asian leaders. Our alumni are ambassadors, senators, e***ors, social entrepreneurs, government officials and private sector leaders serving Asia and beyond. The strategic location of the LKY School in Singapore allows our students to study in one of the best public policy laboratories in the world while immersing in and accessing the wider Asia Pacific region. The school has a unique Asian focus and bridges the gap between prevailing theories in the West and best practices emerging in the East. The LKY School is the first Asian school to be admitted into the prestigious Global Public Policy Network (GPPN), which was set up by Columbia University's School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA), the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), and Sciences Po providing a unique opportunity for qualifying students to get a double degree from one of these partner universities. The LKY School is also amongst the most generous schools of public policy in the world; nearly 50 percent of our international students study on generous merit scholarships provided by the School. Given the unique value proposition of the LKY School, we strongly believe that potential candidates from your institution will greatly benefit from enrolling in our Masters Programmes. Hence, I would be most grateful if you could disseminate this circular within your institution and take an active role in identifying eligible candidates and strongly encourage them to apply. Alternatively, if you provide us with a list of names who you feel are eligible for the MPP and MPA, we would be most happy to contact them directly and invite them to apply. The official deadline for applications is February 28th, 2012 for the academic year commencing July 2012. Application details can be found on our website at www.lkyspp.nus.edu.sg. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact my colleague, Ms Preeti Dawra, Head, External Affairs at email@example.com, if you have any comments or questions.
