In Germany, its home market, T-Mobile is the largest mobile phone operator with 28.7 million subscribers (as of September 2005), closely followed by its primary rival Vodafone. The highly profitable GSM network in Germany is scheduled to be supplemented and ultimately replaced by UMTS, for which T-Mobile spent ,8.2 billion in August 2000 to acquire one of the six licenses for Germany.
Deutsche Telekom (and its predecessor, the Deutsche Bundespost) owned the analog first-generation C-Netz ("C Network," marketed as C-Tel; the A and B networks were previous radiotelephone systems), which was in operation from 1985 to 2000. On July 1, 1992 what was now the Deutsche Bundespost Telekom began to operate Germany''s first GSM network as its DeTeMobil subsidiary. The GSM 900-MHz frequency band was referred to as the "D-Netz," and Telekom named its service D1; the private consortium awarded the second license (now Vodafone) chose the equally imaginative name "D2." Later, as Deutsche Telekom began to brand its subsidiaries with the "T-" prefix, the network was renamed T-D1 and DeTeMobil became T-Mobil; the C-Netz, in the process of being wound down, was not rebranded. Finally, as Deutsche Telekom consolidated its international operations, it chose the English name T-Mobile, although retaining the name "T-D1." (It is still common to hear Germans refer to T-Mobile and Vodafone as "D1" and "D2.")
D1 introduced SMS services in 1994 and began a prepaid service, Xtra, in 1997.

T mobile vì là nó là tên hãng. Một trong 4 hãng cung cấp dịch vụ điện thoại lớn nhất của UK: Vodaphone, T mobile, O2 and Orange. giờ thì có thêm 3G và BT tham gia thị trường.

T-Moblie là một hãng cung cấp dịch vụ Viễn Thông ở nước ngoài (hình như khu vực Châu Âu), giống như VNPT - Viettel - Mobiphone - S-Fone ... ở Việt Nam vậy !
Đôi khi có những máy mang kí hiệu của T-Mobile, vì sao vậy ?
Giống ngư S-Fone, hay CitiPhone, hay có những đợt khuyến mãi với giá mua máy rất rẻ, nhưng khách hàng phải cam kết sử dụng dịch vụ của nhà cung cấp trong một thời gian tối thiểu là 12 tháng hay bao nhiêu đó ... Vậy thôi, giống như S-Fone trước khi cũng có đợt in chữ S-Fone lên máy bán ra !
Những máy đó hoàn toàn không phải do T-Mobile Sản Xuất hay lắp ráp-mà là mua lại của một hãng thứ ba ... vậy thôi !
Tương tự như T-Mobile là các thương hiệu Cingular - Orance - VeriZon Wireless - Qualcom ... nhiều lắm ! Kể ra thì hết cả trang mất, thôi VOTE 5* đi !!!

Cảm ơn các bác. từ thông tin của các bác đối chiếu với trường hợp của em, thì thế này vậy, em có cái T Mobile của thằng Samsung xin được của thằng bạn từ Đức về, vậy T Mobile có lẽ như S Fone còn Samsung thì vẫn là Samsung?

Có thể Samsung là hãng sản xuất máy, T-Mobile đưa thương hiệu của mình lên thôi ! SAM SUNG THÌ VẪN LÀ SAMSUNG, dù nó dán cái gì vào đi nữa ! Vẫn là do Sam sung sản xuất thôi !
Giống như CityPhone - các máy ĐT CityPhone đều mang nhãn hiệu CityPhone U188T hay là gì gì đó ... nhưng nhà sản xuất là UT STARCOM cơ mà, trên máy cũng có ghi đấy !

T-Mobile là tập đòan thuộc Deutsche Telekom của Đức là T-com.
Hiện giờ tất cả các nhà cũng cấp đều cho in Branding lên ĐT mà hãng đó bán ra. để làm gì thì ai cũng biết rồi đó.
Ngòai in thì trong phần mềm đều có nhưng tính năng được thiết kế riêng cho mạng của hãng đó. muốn ko có mấy cái đó thì có thể flash lại firmware nếu kiếm được. còn ko thì mua no branding của chính hãng vẫn bán ở ngòai.
