ACCESSING BRIEFCASE "INVISIBLE" FILES
The secret to finding these "invisible" files is the URL (aka Internet address... the http thingy ) and all you need is the briefcase user id. Keep in mind that this will all take place at the web browser "Address" field. The best way to illustrate this is to use an actual example so I've created a briefcase with a user id of "its_still_here"...
(*Note: what I describe is my view from Internet Explorer... modify your steps to correspond to your browser)
1) Type the name of the briefcase user id in the Yahoo briefcase format (hxxp://briefcase.yahoo.com/USERID) and click "Go".

2) You will see the folder names in the briefcase & a count of the items in each folder. If the "Size" is "0 item" then the folder is empty... don't bother. Btw, "items" can be either files or folders.
(In my example you will see that "folder 1" has "4 items" & "folder2" has "0 item")
3) Click on "folder1". The URL will change to something like this: (hxxp://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/its_still_here/lst?.dir=/folder1&.order=&.view=l&.src=bc&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/its_still_here/lst%3f.dir=/folder1%26.src=bc%26.view=l)
4) Ok, it's time to get started... we will work with the URL now. You can erase most of the URL to make it easier to manage (the second half is a copy of the first anyway, but with the codes instead of characters). Click "Go"
(Erase everything after the folder name: hxxp://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/its_still_here/lst?.dir=/folder1)
5) You will see this message: "This folder is currently empty". Recall that the folder had "4 items" so we know it's a lie. In the URL, change "lst" to "vwp" AND ADD "&.dnm" to the end of the URL (*NOTE: "&.dnm" has a period after the "&") Click "Go"

6) You will now see "1 of # | Previous | Next" where # equals the file total. Click on "Previous" and your done. Just click on "Previous" and "Next" to navigate. To download, right-click on the icon of the page and click "Save Target As..." Btw, you can drag-n-drop the icon to create an Internet link for later download OR drag it into a download manager.
Once you understand this you can use the quick method:
1. Go to the briefcase you want and click on the folder.
2. Go to the start of the URL and change the first "lst" you see to "vwp" and add "&.dnm" to the end of the folder name. (Don't bother deleting or modifying the rest... it still works)
3. Click "Go"
