The proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in Japan, Sweden and USA is drawn in the graph below.
It?Ts very easy to identify that there were a common tendency of raising the rate of the-more-and-equal 65 years old people in society, estimating about 2.5 to 5 times higher in 2040 than in 1940. Japan showed an extremely clear trend, from about 1987, its proportion of population aged 65 and more has been growing up with a breakneck pace. Especially, it is predicted to 25 % from 10 % in about 2030s, above two other countries. It will be really a bound when considering Japan?Ts figures before 1987, they were 5 % at start point in 1940 and even, only about 2.5 % for a long time from 1960 to 1986 and always far lower than the figures of other countries. Next, Sweden?T raising trend was also very clearly except one attending point, its graph was like stairs that the bottom of next stair is lower than the top of the previous one. Meanwhile, with USA, its data showed an approximate double increase from 8 % in 1940 to 15 % in 1983, but right after that year up till about 2018 they have been decreasing. For it, American have to take the top position of proportion of 65 years old and over people to Swedish and finally to Japanese.

The figures for imprisonment in five countries between 1930 and 1980 were described in the table chart by patterns of increase and decrease. It is easy to realize, there are enormous fluctuations from country to country.
Generally, Great Britain had the lowest rate of prisoners during 40 years with the steady increase from 30,000 to 80,000. But in 1980, this number came up to occupy the second position by about 83,000. The next country, Australia, had relative few amount in prisons and didn?Tt go beyond the figure at 80,000 in 1970, even in 1980, it fell to the lowest level country, only approximately 50,000. The number of prisoners in New Zealand was 100,000 in 1930 and suddenly in 1940, it decreased to some 57,000. After, it rose again gradually. Two countries, that had the highest number in prisons, were United States and Canada. Between 1930 and 1970, the figure for imprisonment in United States ranged from 100,000 to 130,000, in 1980, it climbed to the maximum of 140,000. Finally, the amount in prisons in Canada swung inappreciably around 100,000 prisoners.
In conclusion, there is significant distance between countries in America and countries in other continents about the figures for imprisonment during 50 years, and only in 1970, these figures are near equal together.
